  • This guy is awesome! The best new music I've heard in an age! I've gotta see him in London next month (July2011).

  • Warren was the New Blood The AllmanBros, need to be carried to a new decade..Then Gov Mule.. then his piece of Genius went solo.. cause he can do all by himself... damn, what a songwriter and guitar player! :)

  • Now this is music...the shit they play now a days....is just a reproduction of every song I hear on the radio

  • clint nicolan@ iprockin thnx sometimes i just feel the need to create the whole visual thing ya know ... just to let people know how stupid they are cmon warren haynes is my 2nd to srv.

  • That accoustic sounds like an Ovation...if I'm not mistaken

  • @Ferguccio More likely an alvarez, thats what he generally plays.

  • @Magalia369 Thanks dude...

  • 3 people obviously take it to the face for money...!! incredible voice and phenominal guitarist you three suck dog balls...

  • @clintnicolan One of the funniest things I've read.....and true!!! Well said!!

  • Im tweleve and i despise this song. No offense, he's an amazing writer.... not when your mother plays the same song OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and BLAST IT AT TOP VOLUME

  • @haterswillhateme Someday son, you'll understand that sort of passion. That's why your mom does that. It'll happen soon too. :-)

  • Such Passion. Incredible

  • I always loved this performance of this song.

What kind of hopeless person do you have to be to hit the dislike button on this video?

Warren is one of a kind.

  • Beautiful

  • one of my fav songs

  • how can people dislike this

  • this is such a great song to play for someone you love unconditionally..... No one can sing from the soul like Mr. Haynes.

  • i am glad to see that so many people feel the soul pouring out from between his lips! this guy is THE best! i love you warren!

  • beautiful, just beautiful!

  • i have 2 kids because of this song... :)

  • @jenirocksotb haha

  • Rock on Warren ! You touch so many souls with your gift of words and the voice from inside you eminates an incredible flow outward. Awesome !!

  • This is one of my favorite songs, but it was over the top last year when they played it with a Blue Sky tease at the Minnesota Zoo. I was in heaven.

  • If this doesn't melt your soul, nothing will! That ABB sound is always with Warren, and he can sing and play anything.

  • This guy is so under appreciated, its pathetic! Everything he does is great

  • agree !

  • I thank God for people like Warren Haynes. He truly moves me. The stuff he does with music is beautiful and unbelievable. Aaaaand, this is one of my favorite songs :) Thanks for posting this!

  • beautiful warren i mean to the core. beautiful lyrics composition all of it man just beautiful man!!!

  • TREMENDOUS

  • live at bonnaroo...isn't it?...anyway...fantastic!

  • maybe the best song ever made. minus the maybe

  • What a beautiful intro. You can hear Steve Cropper, Bobby Womack but its Warren Haynes:

I don't know how he does it! The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, Government Mule, his own singer songwriter stuff. In addition he is very active in Habitat for Humanity. Mr Haynes, do you ever sleep?

  • God Bless this man! I love it!

  • wow!!! amazing words. best ever heard

  • if anyone judges a song writer, who might have, or probably did drugs.... then start reading.... all great song writers were "high" on something... everyone has an "opiate" wether it be drugs, or propaganda... chew on that...cheywun...

  • LOL, this song is for celebrity stalkers everywhere.

  • @44oz4u this song is about unconditional love...

  • JEEEZUS! Warren ROCKS. This is rock history . GREAT POST!

  • I love warren...period!!! this guy is Rock!!!

  • show us more show your talen tyou have , my god ronnie van zant would love you for presenting us a good new southern song

  • His passion never fails to move me.

  • Maybe one of the best songs ever. Powerful.

  • I have always loved his voice. it's to bad most people don't take notice of his vocal ability.everyone goes on about Greg Allman, but Warren is just as good in his own right. his guitar playing is always great too. he seems so humble and kind. I hope he lived a long time. thanks for posting this. this is a great song. I don't need to see a live performance. the music is enough.Don't get me wrong. I would love to see him playing this, but this recording is perfect.

  • I understand what you're saying, but understand Greg is older than Warren and he has lost some. These abilities are like good look's you can't keep them forever. Greg's is still respected as one of the best white soul/blues singers and certainly diserves respect. He's provided us with great blues for a lot of years and Warren is a good compliment to his style.

  • I agree, age doesn't bode well for musicians, especially singers, but Greg's problem is much more than age, it's years and years of drug abuse that has trashed his body and his voice. There are a lot of singers as old as Greg that sound a whole lot better, mainly because they took care of themselves a little bit better. For me personally, I just think Warren's vocals are incredible, he just conveys the emotion of every song he sings. You actually feel the emotion he's putting out there.

  • Yea after he kicked one beast he found another booze. My favorite of his is not an ABB recording but listed as Greg Allman/Laid Back. If you haven't heard it. I think you will like it. Alot of people aren't aware of it. It's got several ABB numbers, like Midnite Rider but a slower, bluesie, backed by a full orchestra.

  • I've noticed in regard to his vocals is his undertones which aren't apparent on a poor quality sound system. Yet just comes alive on a good one. Some artist sound better on a bad system & the good one's sound great on the better systems where you can actually hear the detail. The prob is if the source is bad, you will know it, if its good its bliss. Those who are'nt blessed with the enjoyment of such miss out, yet don't understand the sound system is the last link to the artist.

  • i love you warren!!!!!!!

2 sets at the crossroads, verrrry nice!

  • he came out and played this at bonnaroo '03 when he wasn't even scheduled...this guys the MAN

  • He is amazing, soulful in his voice and his guitar. Just watch him play something, he feels every beat every note. Incredible. Astounding voice and practically perfect guitar. Rock on.

  • WARREN IS GOD

  • there are guitar players...and THEN there are people like Warren Haynes.

  • @allen78704 Might as well be understood as if you declared that Warren Haynes isn't a guitarplayer ;-) But anyways, I know what you mean, and I agree.

  • I wish I had written this to someone.

  • when i first saw Waren in the Allman bro's, I thought maybe he was a Dickey wannabe, boy was I wrong...This bonaroo album is awsome... I am so impressed, he can shred on a guitar, write music, and has a very soulful voice...Thank God Dickey discovered him, what a talent!!!

  • Only those that knew Warren back in the 70's & early 80's in Asheville when he played with Ricochet understand what a humble nice person he is. After Ricochet couldn't get there break and broke up Warren was jamming one night at the Office Lounge where a member of David Allen Coe saw him and asked if he would play with them. He thought it was a joke. so he did. That was his first exsposure to the big time. however he had to get away, as he said anyone who would tatoo a fly on his pp's nuts.

  • Boy that Band Name brings back memories, Warren use to play a old wore out 335 with the finish removed and a old gibson amp with a couple pedals hidden in the back for tone and reverband phase. He was a faster player back then but he has sooooo much more skill and style now ,I use to jam with him at the old Charlie One Club about the time he joined with Coe and we all knew he was going to be a great musician his rendition of stairway to heaven was always jaw dropping....I will be a Fan forever.

  • Multi, I don't recall "Old Charlie One"? I've heard Warren do some amazing jam numbers, never rehearsed. I asked him one nite "was that rehearsed/" answer, "yuo will never hear that again." my reponse, It a shame a tape wasn't rolling.

  • Charlie One was aold club in Ridgecrest just east of Black Mtn before that it was known as Friendly Tavern.

  • Oh yea, on the right off I-40. You could see it from the hi-wy.

  • I really appreciate this artist...... he's so full of passion....

  • Warren is God.

  • indeed he is.

  • YES HE IS!!!!! :)

  • man his voice has so much passion

  • this song hit my heart..........very well sung and touching.

  • This gentleman is considerate, amaazingly talented, considerate and part of the GREAT Allman Brothers Band Team!!!!!

  • way to go Mr. Haynes!....what a great song.....

  • Wow......what else can a girl say!!! Gotta love this!

  • God it feels like my soul is ripped out.

  • One of the most soulful voices ever recorded. Amazing guitar player as well. Go Warren!

  • My husband and I saw Warren do this song at Bonaroo. It was so moving it brought tears to our eyes. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!! Warren is awsome!

  • Warren Haynes IS IT!!! This was the 1st song of his I ever heard and it was so amazing and beautiful afterward I went and downloaded everything I could find. I have seen him live too many times to count and every time it's amazing! WARREN RULES!

  • It's not about how he looks, his music is excellent.

  • Very few people have the gift of singing like this. It's as if it is heard only by the soul. It penitrates past the ears to the soul. Which in turn send a warm feeling to the heart.

  • @buyboysellboy That's how it feels to me, it grips you inside your soul!

  • @buyboysellboy Shades of Joe Cocker.

  • @buyboysellboy Shades of Joe Cocker.I see the light some shinin'....

  • @buyboysellboy Shades of Joe Cocker...I see the light come shinin'

  • @buyboysellboy: very good discription of how I feel also when I here Warrens Music. Amazing. I'm 28 and I've just now discovered his music and I want every cd he's ever made.

  • hell yes. whoa.

  • Voice given from God!!! myyyyyyyy!!!!

  • Voice OF God !!!!!

  • Intensely soulful; I hear greats I love like Jimmy Buffet, Allmans, and Tom Petty...the tone is pleasant, the key perfectly present-not hopelessly searching, and the emotion plentiful with love, committment and desire. A relaxing way for true romance.

  • good song

  • I love the quality of this song even if it doesn't have an actual video. If you have a heart moving your spirit, how could you not feel the emotion in his words? It leaves me....dreaming of more....

  • One of my favorite songs.. Gives me the chills everytime I hear it.. What a voice

  • Love you Warren!
