I think mines started in 3rd grade

Mine started in childhood after constant bullying. I have a huge distrust of people. I have thought about drinking alcohol when things get bad but now I focus and take it out by doing needlework!

@arugeszenith - I was bullied. Even in adulthood I am stuggling to come to terms with it. I think the loss of my education and self esteem has held be back. I cannot deal with rejection as it constantly reminds me of the past and I feel that I am constantly being rejected.

@charreva  i undertand that exactly chareva... i also have the same prolem until now, .. i was super bullied before and as what have happen to you i also am very sensitive to things which i perceive as a form of rejection. I deal with it by choosing my friend wisely, to those whom influence me positively and can encourage me... because i need that .. :-)) Thank you for sharing chareva... :-))

@arugeszenith - Yes, I choose my friends wisely now but sometimes even that is not perfect, and if things don't work out, it sets me back very badly.

@charreva you may have many friends, but if you have one that you could truly trust , one that you could talk to that will really mean something. I have friends. We often kid around, we laugh together.. but i dont think they know what im suffering with because i conceal it from them and i dont think they are ready for it. But somehow i talk about it with someone and the assurance that he gave me , that he understands how terrible i feel sometimes and will feel , just really warm me...

Yes, mine definitely started in childhood. Substance disorder does appear to be a problem too.
