I really like the singers in this. I always though Gerard Butler was trying too hard to sound menacing and it screwed up his singing but this guy does it right.

I've heard Phantom in several different languages. This one sounds so phoney and cheap its not funny anymore. The Phantom performer should go back to singing kareoke in a sushi bar and use the Christine and Raoul performers as backup singers
I thought this was beautiful, all around. Thanks for sharing it. The story is a lot like a real Japanese opera, too, isn't it? The longing, death..loves, loss.
Actually, I think I recognize it as the footage from Michael Crawford's final New York performance in the title role, with Dale Kristien as Christine and Steve Barton as Raoul.

絶望をに生きか哀れなあなた。
今見せてあげる私の心。
Zetsubou-wo iki-ka aware na anata.
Ima misete ageru, atashi no kokoro.
Do you live in miserable despair?
Now let me show you my heart.

These are so beautiful. I think I already said it, but I like the Japanese version better, and that's coming from a native speaker of English, here.
