Why is it that my Tracker gives a flat line...

When I look at my graphs I always have a top speed of 0, and I've completed my whole cource in 0 seconds...Although I do have an average speed...

For visitors on this page obviously having some interest in Tracker. If you want to convert the '.result' files to a more popular format like gpx, kml, kmz,etc. can use the bt747 application.

Hi, just curious about this. Planning on buying it for my W980 which I recently bought. From what I have read here, it seems that the wayfinder app is hard to track down. I wish to use my W980 as a navigation device. I was wondering where I can track the app down for my phone? At the moment, if I try going into LOG in location services in the menu, it says 'Connect GPS device' - I am guessing some sort of software is already installed, but just wish to confirm - cheers~

Yes it will. When you plug in the HGE-100 it will send you to a WAP site where you can download it

Maybe you have an AT&T branded phone? You can debrand it it, i.e. overwrite the AT&T crap with Sony Ericsson's original firmware. Search for "K800i debrand" if you're in that spot. Worked for me with my W760a.

how can you find the satellite

switch it on to GPS (down) oder the Combomode(middle). Then wait until the LED stops flashing and lights constant. Now you can start the program on the mobile phone. Usually the Satellite serarch takes about 2 min.

I could not find this program on the Sony Ericsson homepage, but then I upgraded my phone software (firmware) and then found the program (Tracker) under my GPS/Map folder in the main menu. I have a Sony Ericsson G705.

So apparently this is at least one way to get this program. Have not yet tested it out.

Update firmware: Well, just go to the Sony Ericsson homepage then:

support - software downloads - update productsoftware/firmware (not sure about the last one, as I translated from german!)

No! HGE-100 is normal GPS what only checking your position and speed in the world.

But this application is only for tracking your way and speed in each point.. =P

For map you get WayfinderEarth (free)

and WayfinderNavigation (30day free) for navigation. :p

k850i doesn't have build-in GPS so you need to buy a HGE-100 accessory.

It doesn't need internet connection for work and it's free - for searching your position in world.

Few applications need internet for downloading maps (Wayfinder Earth, Navigator, Active etc.) .

How you see Tracker doesn't have map, only showing your speed and way that it record when you are jogging or ride the bike, so it's free.

No the tracker doesn't use any data or maps, and is completely free. It even works in flight mode.
