I have personally worked with Russian units like Alpha Brigade (spetzgruppa A) and Vega and they are some rough boys. We learned a lot from each other. Hopefully we can continue to work together in the future. SAS and SBS are total professionals johnnyboy. Very good allies to have. We continue to work with them closely. Charlie Beckwith patterned our Delta after the SAS.

I seriously doubt that Alpha ever train with foreigners, Specnaz A is similar to the American Delta, it is not a secret that even American government refuse to admit its existence. i don't really think all that violent and harsh training is neccery. you need to push hard on your troops, but what the Russians do is on the brink of insanity.
and don't take the Americans infantry so lightly, there is a reason for such high depression rates among soldiers.
and all in all, Israeli Special Forces and the British SAS are atop of the game.

Beat them in what? In hand to hand combat? I don't think so. Russian Spetsnaz hand to hand fighting techniques such as Sambo are considered the most effective in the world. Search for Fedor Emilianenko and watch some of his fights he was in the Russian army and knows Sambo.

um, chances are they were in a test where they are put on their own and have to survive. which means they have to eat what ever they can to survive and what do you find in the wild you can eat? animals. i know a person who was in the navy and had to eat bugs to survive.

I have personally worked with Russian units like Alpha Brigade (spetzgruppa A) and Vega and they are some rough boys. We learned a lot from each other. Hopefully we can continue to work together in the future. SAS and SBS are total professionals johnnyboy. Very good allies to have. We continue to work with them closely. Charlie Beckwith patterned our Delta after the SAS.

With all do respect... Russians never had "Vega", you probably meant "Vimpel" or "Vityaz". I seriously doubt that Alpha ever train with foreigners, Specnaz A is similar to the American Delta, it is not a secret that even American government refuse to admit its existence. In fact GRU, former KGB specnaz and such elite SF trained w foreigners and probably keep doing so.

This is not 100% about power, remember Vietnam and Russian campaign in Afghanistan, we were more powerful. SF were created for the special operations, so don't judge them...
