There are a few Montana coal-fired power plants, but the westbound coal trains as shown in this video, crossing the Continental Divide west of Helena, leave Montana bound for power plants in Boardman, Oregon, Centralia, Washington, and Longview, Washington.
Amigo don't anybody put you down who the f..! Wants to do a fake train vid, i think this is a good video its not the first train with a lot of locos to help, people search longest train in the world and you'll see its not uncommon to see this type of trains!!
Tom I think it is. This is great video. Thank you for useing a tripod! I love the MRL, it reminds me of when I use to video CN and CP in the mountains of Boston Bar, B.C. Canada. We should trade video? Please post more!! Thanks, Kevin.
Wow, so I make a respectful comment that I think this looks artificial. Some of the replies made by these pin-heads are so disproportionate to my original comment its almost comical.

I can't quite wrap my head around why, but this just looks fake. The way the cars glide across the bridge, with no vertical movement or slight lurching. The way similar cars are exactly the same as if images of a few cars/engines were cut/paste. The perfect pan/zoom. The way the coal piles are all the same. No clickity clack sound from the tracks.............
The jury 's still out in my opinion whether this is faked or not.there are points raised here that merit that question.
For example the units are emitting any visible exhaust as far as I'm concerned a unit in run 8 on a mountain grade under load is gong to be smoking !! In regard to the visible portion of the loaded coal cars, automated loading should produce uniformity in all cars then why doesn't it ?
About the lack of "clickity clack the bridge it may be laid with CWR .
wow!!! you guys in the states have some superb locos , in the uk we were lucky to get two locos coupled together , good stuff , i feel jealous i can only see this stuff on you tube and not every day in the flesh!!!
i actually kno this train. Not nearly as many engines. Passes thru Chicago suberbs. Apx 3 miles long. Great video!!

This is the very reason why CSX and MRL ordered their SD70ACEs weighing in at 428,000lbs. Awesome 710 power!

Reply to Plutonium9:
The bridge is well-maintained, and well-supported.
Cars are all similar because they are mass-produced?
Perfect Pan zoom? Ever heard of a tripod?
Cola piles are the same because they are loaded automatically?
No clickety-clack . . . ? Try welded rail, no joints, it's continuous.
If it's not real, then someone has waaaay to much time on their hands to be doctoring-up video.
