@kalimistuk depends.. some photojournalists choose this lens because its one of the smallest and lightest 300mm 2.8 lens. But ye... Im glad I went for Canon's version which costs more than twice as much ^^
@quickshooter100 What's that supposed to mean? I say that 5000 dollars is not cheap. I don't compare it to anything. Imagine what else you could buy for that money. 5000 dollars is a lot.
@quickshooter100 Let me find the actual price on this one and the Nikon equivalent as I own a Nikon... Ok. The Nikkor one costs more than twice ($7400) as much as the Sigma one ($3300) in my country (Norway). So you're right, it's cheap compared to the Nikon 300mm. But 3000 dollars is not cheap, and I think you agree.
@aronmustang69 Yeah its not "cheap" ! I use the nikon 500mm f4 vr and was going to go with the sigma 500mm f4.5 but after using the nikon i had to fork the extra cash for it as its just a phenomenal bit of glass and the vr kicks ass!! :O) You get what you pay for at the end of the day!
What a disappointment from Sigma to present a product using a guy who can barely read.
