thanks for the comment, as for the accent that's a tricky one. There's really no winning when it comes to Les Mis, as really it should be french, yet it was largely written (the majority of it, after the concept album) to be performed by West End actors, and as such the some of the rhymes assume the use of a british accent. (not that that is particularily important.) I tend to favor a mid-atlantic (also called trans-atlantic) accent. It's a good middleground.
@JeanSophieNY it's interesting you think it should be transatlantic- I think that it should be performed the accent of whatever country it is being performed in.. American's attempting a british accent is usually ridiculous- though actually, these guys didn't do bad.
I disagree (with the valjean thing i mean, cause javert was good). It was definately defiant enough. He can't be too defiant or he will be arrested again. I don't think it was wishy washy. Also I think the Bishop has a great character!
you make a good point. but when i say difiant i mean he needed to be more anger in his actions. the character valjean is supposed to dispise javert and although he showed this through his voice i don't think so much through his body language.
i think he would be better if he played the role of marius as his voice would be better suited to it.
every character in the show has an incredible voice i not disagreeing with that!
I can honestly say that this was one of the best prologues I've seen. (from the school editions) I noted that you did the full thing btw.. The inn scene and the complete bisshop scene.
The Javert's great! Who plays him?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
javert was very good and played the part well.
valjean wasn't as good. don't get me wrong he has a credible but but when he's standing up to jevert he need to be more defiant and less wishy washy
the show is way better when it's not in an american accdent but well done anyway
3/5
