  • yup

  • too young to be took

  • Damn Randy git it...

  • that les paul and polka dot guitar of his are worth millions.

  • @kreigsmann i saw a video a few years back of ozzy digging around his basement. and he pulled out a guitar case that contained randy's polka dot v. ozz claimed that it had been put down there after randy's accident and not opened since. it was pretty nastied out with rust on the strings and pickups.

  • @LPcustom76 that guitar is probably worth more in its shape than the guitar buried with dimebag.

  • the lack of footage pisses me offf...wth huh the greatest six string king!

  • @michaelpeacestewart I bet you that EVERY SINGLE Blizzard/Diary show was filmed but Miss Moneybags (Sharon) Won't release them!!

  • I love how Randy Rhoads always looks like he is genuinely loving playing the guitar, playing with his bandmates, smirking, and just purely having fun. No modern day facades, pretense or egos.

  • perfect quality?....

    hmm

    I dont know

    XD

  • I am 46 now and still feel like a kid when i hear this ! ! ! ! got to see this band when we still in high school back in 82 will never forget it burned in my brain !!!!!

  • Yawn.

  • 3:46 Randy smiles thinking "Jeesnuts, this sounds SO fuckin' good!"

  • Randy kicks FN ass and forever will. See you someday man, love you always. God I wish this the crash never happened. He is the greatest rock and roll guitarist ever, bar none!!!

  • the genius at his work and best.

  • @dws901 : if satriani has not heart I'm a flying pig

  • @sono6io66 Randy Rhodes is a fluid melodic soloist....Satriani is a stiff technician....Randy Rhodes is a rockstar...Satriani is a guitar geek......Satriani single handedly killed the Chickenfoot album/project (shoulda called Ronnie Montrose...but I guess Satch is better than him too? )

the guy can play, but he plays to other guitarists....

  • HOW do 3 people not like this?????? I Don't Know!!! one of the VERY rare full vids of the late, great RHOADS on guitar!!! some people seriously have NO clue

  • nothing says im a rocker more than that tassle shirt.....

  • @Headknocker940

He doesn't re-tune it. He presses down on the string up at the headstock to rise the pitch of the note. Then he releases it back to normal...

  • Note how when Randy over bends a note & the guitar goes out of tune & he retunes it @ 3:32 on the fly.. = Too Cool..

I met Randy, Rudy, Tommy, & Ozzy in 1981 & they were some really cool cats..

Rest in Piece Randy, I'll be over to see you one day & take some lessons..

Here's hoping they have some great guitars in heaven..

    Gary aka headknocker940

  • @Headknocker940 he didn't retune it he just did a bend above the nut

  • What's up with Ozzy's mic?

  • Don't ask me, I don't know either!

  • Well I do know. Been there, done that and done. Now get your heads out of your rear ends and wake up folks. This pided piper has got to go

  • great song!

  • god randy could play like theirs no tomorrow.

  • Randy just ATTACKS this song. He's a amazing player, but also just has just amazing balls. Lots of rock in him, it separates him from many.

  • There are only two Ozzy guitarists. Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde....... End of...

  • YEAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If this was Straight out of the box new shit...no one every heard before....It would no doubt be the BEST SHIT EVER...HA...IT IS!

  • Most obvious comment ever, but how fucken good is Randy Rhoads in this clip? Unbelievable. When you first heard this at the time it was like nothing else. And it still is.

  • my personal heroes on guitar are zakk wylde, tony iommi, jimi hendrix and slash.

  • Love how his shirt says Ozzy, just in case he forgets. LOL

  • 2:16 is what I like to call "The eye of the storm" in this song. Randy's guitar virtuosity was surpassed only by his musical genius as a composer....He somehow managed to seemlessly combine the melodic discipline of classical music with the roaring energy of rock 'n roll. How rare is it that you find a guitarist that excels at both and combines them so beautifully? He never lost sight of a "great riff". What a dynamic exciting player!! We miss you so much Randy, hope God is taking notes!!!!

  • Randy Rhoads and Dave Murray are GUITAR GODS!!!

  • @blablabloly

To me it's Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrell, Chris Broderick, Dave Mustaine, Even Cliff Burton!

  • love ozzy dont no how hes still alive 2k11 but im glad he is

  • Randy actually wanted to leave the rock business and go to college and learn more classical music.. Ozzy said himself he didnt want to stay to much longer

  • Ozzy reminds me of Bobcat Goldthwait when he was in Police Academy 2.

  • I've heard that when Tony and the boys in Sabbath heard this, they panicked and thought they were done.

  • why do all guitarists who play with ozzy use a les paul guitar ????

  • @5249178 does it matter?

  • @5249178 Gus G plays a ESP.

  • @5249178 Gus G uses "his" shape, and Jake E. Lee had a strat o.O

  • @5249178 Brad Gillis used a strat, Jake used a charvel strat, zakk used all kinds of whacky shit (but mainly les pauls) and Randy used V's (jackson made their name on the Randy Rhoads v) as well as pauls... I think more the case is that they all (correct me if I'm wrong) used Marshalls (and wah pedals).

  • BUY OZZY'S NEW BOOK! Its funny ( Ozzy ) and sad ( Randy )

  • They don't make gtr. plyrs. like this any more....

they are either too technical & stale (Satriani), or have no technique & are boring (every grunge band ever..)

no one knows how to just rock out, be melodic, let the song dictate the solo....

we still have Schenker, May, Lifeson, Blackmore and the old school, but who's gonna carry on?

  • @dws901 Dude grunge aint bad, just gotta find the good stuff =)

  • @dws901 I'm gonna carry on, lol jk.

  • @dws901 Don't worry, there will ALWAYS be people like that...

  • @dws901 theres guitar players like this that do exist, but are not accepted by the shitty society we have today

  • @dws901 Every grunge band ever lol...SO TRUE!

  • @dws901 i disagree with the satriani part, he is incredibly soulful, listen to "heartbeats" or "god is crying" off his new album!

  • @dws901 your a retard. do you know how many people play guitar?????????? your telling me that when someone picks up a guitar they dont try and just rock out, or be melodic? that is what most guitarist TRY to do. i love randy rhoads hes a big inspiration on me, but their are so many amazing players out their today. these players today are gonna carry on music for the next twenty-thirty years and then their are gonna be more to carry on music. look up paul gilbert. hell make you be like damn.

  • @dws901 I completely agree with ya, I ve been listening to a lot of Avenged Sevenfold lately,I think theyre on the right track.

  • Ozzy fighting to stay in tune on 2:02 to 2:16 ... anyway... til do end of the song...

  • Randy R. is really Great player!!!

  • to the vibrato scientist people. Randy used what was right for the song. a lot of people use too much vibrato. Everyone is a expert on "YouTube". Most of you are just full of shit. Non of you can play like Randy, nor can Lee, Lynch, or Wylde. Watch less "YouTube" and play guitar more. I have been playing since 1982. I don't normally comment on things, but how retarded!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blackstrat712 Most intelligent thing anybody have put on youtube ever.

  • Randy Rhoads just KICKS MAJOR ASS, he is my favorite shredder after Jason Becker and Michael Angelo Batio.

  • yea, i like my vibrato very monotone, no variation in pitch. just one note.

  • man hes god at pinch harmonics

  • Ummmm.....yeah! Listen how shaky it is. Not surprising though. Vibrato is one of the toughest things to get good at. Check out Jake E. Lee if you want to hear great vibrato. Lynch is good too.

  • awful vibrato! That was one aspect of playing Randy never really got.

  • @dorsey2005 you serious?

  • awful vibrato!

  • Randy was a God. Ozzy would try to get him to drink and do drugs but Randy would always refuse it and drink Coke. (cola i mean haha)

  • "PERFECT"

  • what the fuck is that effect Randy uses at 4:48, sounds like a freakin spaceship landing???? lol.....actually, it almost sounds like some type of modified wah pedal with a really really broad frequency range, anyone know?

  • @fmbighair i think its an flanger , watch van halen - unchained or a real hjgh turned phaser

  • eddie van who???

  • @42lynchmob actually in a 1981 interview with guitar magazine rhandy jokingly said that he didnt know why people thought he was good cause all he did was play EDDI VAN HALEN RIFFS!!!! no bullshit!!!! check it out!!!! that said i like RHANDY BETTER TO!!!!!!

  • This rocked to bad ozzy is suck a deadbeat these days...

  • Today marks the 30th Anniversary of the release of Ozzy Osbourne's "Blizzard of Ozz" album! Fueled by Ozzy's iconic stage presence/songwriting and Randy Rhoad's groundbreaking Neo-Classical guitar work, it erupted onto the scene as the greatest musical comeback of all time, cemented Ozzy Osbourne's status as a metal l...egend, and changed the face of metal forever....

  • Randy 4 Life & Live 4 Randy!

  • I have this on DVD....

  • just clicked the video cuz RHANDY ROADS!! was on the picture =)

  • And what does this video teach us? That if you are in Quiet Riot, there's a good chance you'll end up in Ozzy's band and then in Whitesnake. LOL. Love this video.

  • The 3 people that clicked dislike have had Justin Bieber's 2 inch pecker in their mouths.

  • 3 people thumbed down this video.. I repeat; 3 idiots thumbed down this video.

    UNBELIEVABLE!

Thanks for posting this video. Randy, you were the best guitarist to walk the earth.

    Rest in peace.

  • Randy Rhoads - the last "triple threat" guitar king that I can recall. #1: Incredible chops. #2: He looked and dressed the part - he was a very cool and humble guy but hands down a true rock star. Chicks wanted him, guys wanted to be like him. #3: The "moves". Look at the guy - he worked a crowd like a front man. Threw down blistering leads without so much as a glance at the fretboard.

Come to think of it who else could be considered a "triple threat"? Eddie? Vai? Satch? Nope.

  • @doelstu Dimebag was...

  • @doelstu by your definition of a triple threat I'd say Rhoads, EVH, and Hendrix

  • @superflysoulbrother triple threat haha why stop at 3 when u can go to 6. eddie jimi randy yngwie paul gilbert jake E lee

  • @frankenstrat25 haha, why not 9? eddie jimi randie yngwie paul gilbert jake e lee Brian May Mick Mars Warren Demartini (of RATT 4 who doesnt know) YEAH!!! WHOSE GONNA GO TO 12, OH WAIT, I FORGOT Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and Jeff Beck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • randy is god, anyone who doesn't think so, go die. jk, but get therapy at least. RANDY RHOADS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome

  • I wish you could buy this some where...

  • I know why i play guitar, it's thanks to Randy Rhoads !! R.I.P Randy . I was 12 when i first heard your genius guitar.

  • thumbs up if this has ever happened to you :

    "what are you listening to?"

    "i dont know"

    "seriously"

    "I DONT KNOW"

  • I cannot believe these guys were actually rocking this fkng hard!!! no bullshit .. just straight fkng great !! what ever happened to real music ... let this shit be seen 4ever in schools as what music was at one time in the usa

  • wowowowowowowowow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i love

  • Bonzo, Bon Scott,Randy, Cliff, Dimebag, Ronnie, all are Legends!!!

  • ok, whichever 3 people that disliked this video can go sit in a corner and rot, randy is the best thing that happened to this world!

  • My favorite Ozzy videos are of him with Black Sabbath in Paris but this video rocks too.

  • 2010 is COMING WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE. QUIT YOUR JOBS AND SPIT ON YOUR BOSSES FACE AND SMOKE CIGARETTES.

  • @Drew927 hate to break it to u, but it's already 2010. on a less stupid note, randy rhoads is the best guitarist that ever lived! and ever will live!

  • @jacoblroark uhhh ok... randy rhoads as fucking awesome but he wasn't one of the best yet. he was 25 or somthign when he died. he might have been the best eventually but we wont ever know.

  • @Drew927 wrong! he was and is the best guitarist of all time

  • im so honored to live down the street from his burial grounds :)

  • the title is right! you don't know perfect quality hahaha give me thumbs up if randy is the best guitar player ever, or if he's one of your favorites give me a thumbs up

  • actually michael angelo batio is the best but i love ozzy

  • @Burnoutism ul find that even MAB will disagree with that statement being a massive randy rhoads fan

  • randy rhoads is more than a guitar player, is a master

  • randy rhoads freakin owns me :)

  • The Best!!!!!!

  • Ozzy is still in Sabbath'esque attire , but already at the beginning of a vertiginous solo carreer, backed by excellent guitar players, starting with Randy Rhoads

  • Its really way too bad Randy had to leave us so soon. The man was a genius, and in just two albums became the worlds greatest guitar player ever. Imagine what more he couldve done. The man had horrible luck, he was a "health freak" and didnt do drugs or stupid shit, yet Ozzy who was on serious drugs for 40 years straight, got himself into all sorts of trouble, and yet doesnt look like croaking any time soon.

    R.I.P. Randy

  • Thats how it seems to work though eh? Some times it makes me wonder...

  • ozzy has the most unique voice of all time. a very very distant second is vince neil.

  • @spurrier07 VINCE NEIL??? SERIOUSLY???

  • I'm 15 years old and EVH made me want to start playing the guitar but Randy Rhoads made me want to learn everything else. 3 years now 4 hours a day. Thanks Randy.

    Rest in Peace.

  • Awesome !!!! Keep it up man !

  • The sound is raw & great here, Ozzy's voice cracks but who gives a shit, it's rock & roll! Randy was the man & even Rudy Sarzo here on bass was great, him & Randy were the only good things to come out of Quiet Riot.

  • The title doesnt lie.

    Plus awesome performance.

    Randy is the greatest!

He lives on in this music forever!

  • Shred it up randy!!!!

  • Look how fucking happy the guy looks! Man he loved what he did, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen Randy without a smile. What a happy guy!

  • @gumballthechewy Most guitarist have that serious, attitude look when playing. Not Randy. He loved showing the world his gift. Just makes me a bit sad that he left us so soon. Heroes die but Legends live forever. Randy Lives!

  • @Graffitti74 lol did you really just lift a line from The Sandlot and use it to describe Randy Rhoads? "Heroes die, but legends live forever."

  • @vaibanez17 Oh hell no. Heard the phrase from a friend who was remembering John Lennon. Another Legend.

  • @Graffitti74 Ha it was ok either way. The Sandlot is my favorite baseball movie...

  • @Graffitti74 back then music videos were rare ,they probably thought it was funny making a music video

  • @gumballthechewy dude him and ozzy were brothers basically i cant think of any other reason to be happy 24 7

  • @gumballthechewy You can believe I would also be that happy if I could play guitar all the time and not have to worry about work and college and bills and all that other bullshit! Randy Rhoads forever!

  • Yeah no kidding, eh?

  • @gumballthechewy what he DID??? what he DOES!!! he still makes album's and he still rocks!!! \m/

  • Sorry, you're right. He may be dead but his Legacy lives on.

  • @gumballthechewy no ozzy is alive he just recently made an album that is called scream

  • I was talking about Randy, not Ozzy.

  • @gumballthechewy i bet randy died with a smile on his face

  • @frankenstrat25 somehow, he looks like the terminator1 sarah connor lol

  • @101stAirborneSince44 by that you mean ripped and awesome

  • Oh I guarantee he did.

  • @gumballthechewy That's because Randy understood that when your up on stage and your doing what you love (and getting paid for it!) You should be happy and enjoy yourself. Not many people get to say that they played along side a GOD of metal. Randy was probably stoked about it!

  • Ozzy is great in the Live performances on the Tribut Album

  • Ozzy is great here! We have to convince him that his performance is perfect so he'll release this on DVD!

  • Comment removed

  • One of the greatest metal riffs of all time!

  • STFU this is hystory

    It will never be repeted

Learn from it and wish you could ever make a mark like this on the world

  • Melhor guitarrista da historia......

  • it sucks when Ozzy screams "I dont know!" his voice is all horse and he doesn't hit the pitch and thats when they decided to add echo so you have to hear him sucking at it over and over lol then he actually did hit the pitch once and that's the one time it didn't get echoed lol...love this clip love listening to Randy Rhoads live...he's the best ever

  • pee pee?

  • the 1:07 one sounds awesome, its the crappy quality of the sound and the shittily done echo that fucks it up

  • @vaibanez17 Yeah, that's too funny. The only time he gets it right they don't do the echo! Pretty awful performance from Ozzy, but the band sounds great, and Randy is awesome as always.

  • good call.

  • I like when he also uses that technique with the high E string or so and he is holding the note along with bending the neck to give a whammy effect. This can be heard at 1:27.

  • if you do it too much you can break the neck or the joint at where the neck and body comes together

  • happy birtday ozzy! we all love you!

  • 1:46 lol listen... theres some guy saying "ihh?"

  • omg...that´s bassguitar...

  • @RandyRhoadsIsAwesome nope, its the bass on a slide.

  • lmao yeah

  • randy rhoads is like steve harris he kicks your ass

  • Unbelievable!

What an amazing performance by the man..RANDY

    That solo is ALL TIME

Rest blissfully in the great sleep Brother...you have done this world well

    ...and Thank You!

  • WOW!!! so EPIC!

  • lol at 4:09 RIP RANDY WE LOVE YOU

  • Ozzy had what he been looking for all his life, the best, but for a very short time. Consequences for the life style he lived I believe. Old saying goes only the good die young, good things last a short time, to good to last, same thing I guees so on and ect.

  • 2:02 and 2:06 and 2:13

What more can you ask for? 3 echoed Ozzy blunders. And this was some of his strongest early live stuff.

Randy was awesome as always. Just imagine the mastery this man would have been doing in todays music world.

  • how many live TV broadcasts have you done ??

  • The echos back then sounded like it went perfect with the song even when my dad played just made the song more unique in certain spots, now todays echos sound like feedback time 1,000

  • JayDeeSG (question), In this live Video at @ 3:30 , Randy in Solo appears to reach up to the Headstock (out of camera view),,, To do what ? What did he do ? What was that Trick ?? Thanx ziggy.

  • Yea, he bent the string behind the nut to create a sort of tremolo effect.

  • @ziggy72170 he was turning his g string tuner to lower the note

  • He presses a string down between the nut and the tuning pegs to get a pseudo dive-bomb since he's playing a fixed bridge guitar.

  • Thanks to all , for the reply... Yeah I understand.(Neat-Trick).. I couldn't hear it to well in this song/version.. But , it's very defined on the Ozzy/Randy Tribute Album ... The "I don't know" live-video by You-tube,, Kazeovalentine

  • It will soothe the soul every time. R.I.p Randy

  • @Tinkstoy01 So true. There have been numerous times that I've been down about life but as soon as I put on Blizzard it lifts my spirits up. Thank you God for giving us Randy Rhoads and thank you Randy for giving us the gift of music.

  • yeah dude, I listen to the epicness of the second solo of Mr. Crowley and I'm like "wow, life is reall
