I only have the one that I've made so far and it got slightly beat up because I swam in a cement lined pool with it and the cement pulled the fibers on the fluke. So I wasn't planning on selling that one, but I am definitely planning on making some more to sell very soon.

I think you're referring to the tutorial that I wrote on dance(dot)net. If so then yes I did use a lot of the process that I described. However, I no longer use plexiglass in my tails. It breaks too easily

I use a combination of a flexible plastic mat and silicone gel

you could also use polyethelene plastic, a kind that hannah fraser used (now she uses a competitor monofin). but i'm not sure how flexible it was. tell us if u ever use it!

It was filmed at Silver Glen Springs in the Ocala Nat'l Forest in Florida. To see the water this clear you need to go during the week (Tuesday - Thursday). If you go on the weekend it will be ridiculously crowded and the water will be murky.

Yes, I made the fluke as well. That was quite possibly the toughest thing to make on the whole tail!

Beautiful! Simple, yet elegant. Only thing I would suggest is maybe trying to get some underwater and close up shots so you can see the body and fluke of the tail better (if you're going to use this for advertising your tails).

If you don't have a water-proof camera, you can buy a bag that will make it that way at a sports goods store for $12.

Hi! Thanks for the advice. I actually do have an underwater camera however I forgot it the day that we visited this spring.

I will probably be going back to Silver Glen tomorrow to take underwater shots of all the new tails and I should have that video posted soon :o)

I'm just hoping that it doesn't rain tomorrow...
