@tomilipin both tracks the last 2 tracks on the 2nd CD of the album "Deeper Shades of Euphoria". The editing of the music with the video is masterful.
Actually, technically, South Korea calls it's president a "great" leader. The word, "대통령" means roughly "Great Leader." "대" or "dae" in Korean means "Great" or "Large" or "Grand." So, the term "Great General" or "Great Leader" isn't necessarily implying the North Koreans truly believe he's "great."
It's hard to even appreciate this for what it is, knowing that little bastard decided that having teenage girls dance with balls was a better use of money than feeding the people starving to death all over his country. And these poor kids are probably going to end up sub coming to the same fate once they're too old for this.
Amazing to see but very sad too. The reality is that these people are not free. The performance of the individual is deemphasized in favor of the performance of the group as a whole. Classic Communism 101. The group is more important than the individual. Sad indeed.
But it does emphasized what a whole lot of us can do to process a performance in life instead of doing it alone. And why you say that the individual are not important? If they are not they wouldnt be in it. Everyone is included.
But don't team sports emphasize exactly the same thing. The performance of the group is always worth more than the performance of one single player. They always tell you not to fail the group, or that you must function as a group. The army will tell you the same thing to. It's not a horrible message. It's just not one that most western people are comfortable with.
Hi, you can't compare society with sports teams: in western world, we are all taught that the family unit is the 'team' but other than that, you are all alone.
In communist, society is a bigger version of the familial 'team'.
Right? There are a lot of complex thought occupying this A.M. pre-coffee mind. :-)

It's actually Silence by Delirium w/ Sarah McLachlan. The drum loop is used in a lot of Enigma but it's not actually them/him.

I don't know if I would call him a "Great Leader" but whatever, this is still a brilliant performance. Free the people from tyranny! Peace...

Asian societies are group centric, there's nothing sad about the differences in perception of individualism in other cultures.
