In a strange way, I think this news story may advance the cause of gay marriage. Why? Because people clearly see how stupid this is--they can't believe that this happens in 2009. here's what makes me mad.

this couple can't get married because one is white and one is black. therefore, they are different from each other.

however, gay/lesbian couples can't get married because they are both the same gender. therefore, they are the same.

it seems as though people who are trying to keep the 'sanctity of marriage' are just not going to let anyone get married, ever. then marriage won't be so sacred, though, will it?

Oh yeah, about Domestic Partner, we are registered. I even mentioned that in video awhile back. The video is called Guess What.. We Registered DP! back in March of this year so you can look up. :-D

It's not as much rights as marriage but at least just a few more is all. Like right now, I have benefits with him at his work since we are DP registered so that helps, that's about it. He he.
