Lovecraft wrote that the Great Old Ones, such as Shoggoths, were servants of the Elder Gods, so what the voice says is true (according to Lovecraft's fictional mythos). Read "At the Mountains of Madness."
Actually, the Great Old Ones would be those such as Cthulhu, who is not an Outer God. The Shoggoths are just a servitor race race were created by the Elder Things.
What is said is completely false. Pay no attention to it. The guy says the Old Ones worshipped the Other Gods and were banished after attempting to take over with dark magic. This is not what Lovecraft said. He said the Old Ones were gods themselves, and the Other Gods were along the same line as the Old ones.
I thought the elder gods were not a creation of lovecraft. Lovecraft created the outer gods and the great old ones
