Don't know if anyone has heard about the story behind 'The Assasination of Jesse James', apparently Nick had a small one line part in the movie, when they were filming the director heard Nick say it, laughed and then cut the line out.

but i can't escape the feeling that nick cave needs to get away from the people he's been hanging around the last couple years and stop having anything to do with advertisement of his music.

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree. While it used to be about writing music from the heart and that unique style of his, the post-Abattoir Bad Seeds (and, indeed, Grinderman) now just seems to be a bollocks-on-the-table circus routine. He doesn't sound or even move the same graceful way anymore, it's all about strutting and portraying a fierce attitude.

Was disappointed in both the Grinderman and Lazarus albums and I'm usually very easily pleased with Cave's records.
