Soy de Colombia, y tengo un problema con mi iPhone 4, estaba navegando normal con plan de datos, y me dio por navegar por wifi, y cuando quise volver al plan de datos, me dice que no puedo, que no tengo conexión, llamo a mi operador (TIGO) y me envían instrucciones para configurarlo, y me dicen que en APN escriba una dirección, pero a mi no me sale APN, sino VPN, les comunico eso y me responden que lo cambie a APN, pero NO TENGO NI IDEA COMO HACER ESO!

Access Point Name (APN), Virtual Private Network (VPN). si lo restableces a la configuracion original (RESET) puede volver a la normalidad, si no, puedes tratar de actualizarlo (UPDATE), si persiste el problema consulta con APPLE

whats "the others" can see/find?

is it a blank?

Hey i wanna ask you a few question. When im on VPN and connected to my Home network (wi-fi) does it go after the Home network ip adress or the VPN? And second why is it Counting how long i have been on the VPN connection? Thx

If you use internet from you phone then you phone public IP will be traced. If you use internet from remote computer which yo connected through VPN then public IP of that computer will be traced

One question, VPN creates the illusion of being within a LAN at any time right ? So if I set up a VPN server at hone and connect to it remotely with 3G, does that mean that my Internet usage will be same as using my home wifi, thus saving me 3G data charges ? Please

@irfaanfaki You are correct with your first point that it makes it seem like you are within the LAN however if you use your home internet through the VPN it will still come out of your allowance because the VPN connection is using the internet connection between your phone and the mobile network.

@Vitogypsy Make sure the server is correct, remember it has to be the external address of a server set-up to accept VPN connections.

@Fifafan20111 The settings shown are for a temporary VPN I set up, it's been taken down now. You will need to get the server/username/password information from the system administrators at your workplace to gain access to your companies VPN if they have one.
