In 1971 I got my first JT-1 Mini-Enduro. I wish I still had it. It was such a blast. What a gift for an 11 year old kid. I had moved up from my Honda mini Trail 50 !!! After that I got a DKW 125 MX. Now I have a HD, but I will ALWAYS prefer 2 strokes. Those were the days. Thanks for posting.
@racer500gp I just saw a rusty beat to crap Z-50A on ebay. It was at $1200 and looked like you might offer someone $50 if you needed a part. I got myself a 72 JT1 after disowning my brother that sold it several years ago. I have a blast on it. I just pretend I'm really really tall and it's a normal sized bike. Find yours and get on it now they are only going up in value. I actually raced mine once for two motos at age 9 or 10. I had good skills but the bane of my young life was the Honda XR-75.
@RCkid8 If you don't roll off the throttle you'd be at or near the mind blowing top speed of 43 MPH in a matter of seconds. The two stroke JT-1 engine is a power house and not for the faint of heart.
@RCkid8 They say it's 95% rider. I imagine I got a little experience on ya. Get it over with and take that ratty GT80 and sell it for parts on ebay and get ya the new PS3 and leave these little bikes for the old men sonny.

i have two of these and they still run great
i just rebuilt and souped up the engine of one of them
bored out cylinder and polished intake and exhaust ports and put a flat track pipe on
it throttle wheelies in second and tops out at around 35 mph
