@lorthor500 sorry wrong, its doomsday engine, it takes the Doom Wad and allows you to easily install add-ons. Currently this guy has basic 3D model replacements and higher resolution textures.

Does anybody know how to load Sycraft's remixed music on Doomsday 1.9 beta 6?

I've tried pretty much EVERYTHING and it always loads the standard music.

It's a pk3 file and I put it inside the snowberry/addons folder just like every other addon, I've already tried changing the settings in the control panel for the music to either play externally, MUP dumps or CD and none work.

I used to get all these things on a site called doomsday addons but now it's gone and since I haven't used doomsday for a few years now I don't know where to find most of the addons...

I remember I had EVERYTHING in it, even rain...Hexen alone looked like a full 3D game from the late 90's or early 2000's and it looked amazing.

@TheAnimeExpert156 .... you got that wrong, the original dos version of wolf 3d came out in september 1992, doom was released for dos in august of 1993.

the same team worked on both games, now there was a sequal to wolfenstein called spear of destiny which came out in 1994.

@windson7 DooM 1 and 2 are 3D. Just the sprites (characters, guns, other inanimate objects) weren't. And this is like DooM 64 except the enemies and stuff are JUST like the sprites in DooM 1 and 2.

Do you have an alternate source for the package? All I was able to find online was the textures package, all the weapons, enemies etc are still the original 2d sprites. looks really nice though

This was on a old hard drive which quit working. If I remember correctly you have to go into the game's control panel and go to Lights and have Brightness or something like that up all the way.

I don't think it was for the C64. It was a black and white game. All you do is go around a maze and look for other players. When you find them, shoot them. Shooting players gets you points while getting shot deducts points. I'm sure it's quite a good bit of fun.

You're wrong there as well. The first FPS was not Catacomb 3-D. The earliest FPS that I can name off the top of my head would be Maze War. It was made in the 70s. While I don't think this would be an FPS, another one would be a flight simulator that Microsoft did. id Software did not make the FPS genre, they just glorified it and made it what it is today.

actually, Wolf3d wasn't the first FPS, Cybercop for the sega genesis came out in 1990, wolf3d came out in 1993. Cybercop was terrible, though...

When you start up Doomsday go to the Addons tab and click on the + sign and search for the zip files that contain the addons. Highlight them, then install them. Then select the addons after they have been installed.

no effect, except for upgrading the wall textures...

If there's a "+" where you select the addons, click on them and check the ones that aren't checked. Like if there's one called "jDoom Texture Pack" and there's a "+" on its left, click on it and check all of the ones that aren't selected except Shinemaps.

I remember playing Doom 2 with this. Nothing like launching a rocket at an imp high up on a building and watching blood fly EVERY which way when the rocket connects with it.
