Hmmm... I managed to do this with Max... Somehow Kanbei will roll his tanks right up to your MD tank but not attack it. You do have to sacrifice an infantry(or was it a tank?) to damage his rockets. This caused them to also roll right up to your MD tank on the bridge.

Don't take my by word, tho, was ages since i did that mission

It's so funny how Kanbei is so idiotic.... He has md tanks yet attacks your mid tank with normal tanks. = fail

@ArtificialFlavaFTB2 Gameplay-wise, they're virtually identical, but the second one is tougher and has a lot more features. Storywise, the only difference is that the bad guy is unknown in the first game, while Black Hole is the primary enemy in AW2.

Weird how Kanbei doesn't use his medium tanks/artillery to attack Andy's Medium tank only the regular tanks.

@xxelmoxx2968 I believe this came before Battalion Wars. I also think that Battalion Wars is more action-oriented. But it is part of the same series.

you dont have to finish off the troops you can take a apc with a mech uint to cap the hq , that will make less pressure for the base and you can cap and end the mission

@AandWguy If you're using Max, his indirect units are not going to have as high of a range as everyone else.

FFs the name of the new Advance wars is Dark conflict not days of ruin. days of ruin is only the name in america.

It was released in Europe(as "Dark Conflict") four days after the U.S. Release and in Austrialia a month after that. Marketing changes names if they believe a title would be less appealing or innapropriate to a different culture. "Days of Ruin" was the title used first.

I'm kind of surprised that happened. It was either because I had Hyper Repair in effect, which gave me a boost in offense, or the fact that medium tank was at a low 6.

i never knew how easy AW1 was until i played AW2 and AW:DS and DOR

AW1 had stupid AI

they improved it in the succeeding games
