Man, I remember when that album came out. I tripped-out. It was a bit patchy but I didn't care. I just wanted one more with Jimmy back in. I thought that was it and then Zeitgeist. I double-tripped. My band were back yet again! Just heard the new stuff...yeah, things have moved on...integrity it seems too. Billy on his own without ANY of the other 3 is Billy on his own not the Pumpkins. Ah well. At least Jane's are back with some bite. Hahaha

@EvanLouKy Not only that but if you do compare the difference between this show and the early 90's he was more eccentric. I think when this album came out he pretty much checked out and was probably upset that Darcy was no longer with the band, and he was done with Corgan and the rest of the band. Not only this performance but several other ones around the 2000 era you can really see he didn't care to play anymore.

Is it just me or do the songs on Machina sound better live than recorded. I am not a fan of a lot of the songs on the album but they sound amazing when played live. I think it's because Billy did way to much to the songs in the recorded version it does not sound like the work of a band but of Billy painstakingly setting up the song digitally. I just think that the thing that makes the music good his the personality their music carries. It does not transfer well when it's messed with too much.
