Pillows are the most effective suppressors, yet don't classify as a suppressor. This design is very effective for paintball. Take a quiet marker like the ion and make it even quieter. Seriously, this video demonstration does not do it justice. Because, the volume on the camera is set to auto and when it is quiet, the sound sensitivity increases. During a game, lighting up some poor d@stard who never heard it coming ... priceless. F you all who have never tried it.

This suppressor will explode on a real gun, thus won't be effective. Anyone can own and use a suppressor on a real gun if you purchase a license for it. $200. If you are an adult with just a decent job, that is not that much, kids.

not 100% but if done right it can make a considerable difference there is another method using pvc pipe and a 5 micron water filter that works well also

i do have 1 recommendation though

generally it helps to have 5 to 6 small air redirect holes at the back of the silencer to vent any excess gas unfortunately the sound cant be 100% absorbed by the foam so the next best route is rear redirection you might be able to get your sound signature down abit more if you do

punch and hammer. It's like a chisel tip in the shape of a circle, 1" in diameter. Back it up with a piece of wood inside so you don't cave the whole front face of the can in. Tap and punch ... you're done!

buttgrab, I suggest you use common sense. Empty the can before you do any cutting. Empty the contents as much as possible. Then use a nail and punch a hole in the top. I prefer to use a nail after I have made the score.

I forgot to mention how you get the hole on the end of the suppressor where the paint will come out.

1. Get a Hammer, 1" dia. sheet metal punch and a block of wood. 2. Insert wood into suppressor for resistance, and hammer the sheet metal punch to tap out a hole in the center of the suppressor. File down sharp edges. Do not use a drill or sheet metal cutter; tear it to shreds.
