I have to say this is the best version of the carousel of progress.

The newer version is ok as well. I was so disapointed in 1993 when they removed this version.

Personally, "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" is a way better song, overall, but that aside, the newer voice acting and modified script is loads better than this version...

Did you hear the GREAT and various renditions of "Now is the Best Time"?

In the first quadrant the gramophone had a turn-of-the-century version. In the 20's section there was a Jazz instrumental of the fantastic song. Within the 40's, part a Big Band/Swing interpretation was a keypoint.

The heads of Disney are a pile of uber-dorks for ever removing this song.

This song, "Now is the Time", is sooo much better than the one that is used at the Magic Kingdom now. It is catchy and memorable. The one used now doesn't have any of this song's charm. WDW, Please bring back the old song.

When did they switch between the two different theme songs? Did the show remain the same?

the orginal song from the 63 worlds fair is great big beautiful tomorrow, then the attraction moved to disneyland, when disneyworld opened, they changed the attraction to use now is the time theme song. back in the late 80's early 90's sometime, they brought back the orginal song, and made some changes, most notiable is the last scene.

Actually, the world's fair version came about in 1964.

@fatlittlepuppy NOPE! The Carosel of progress was in the 1964 worlds fair had its theme song called Great Beautiful Tomorrow but when Disney World opened 1971 the ride moved from Disneyland to WDW, But they did change it to make it kinda better then now they Changed it back to where it belogs!

I love it!!! This ride is one of my favorites.... too bad it is gone forever. I laugh now when I look at it. Ironic that the family looks so Botoxed back then :). If it was out now the final scene would just be out of control! Love the Omlet Supreme Ovet Jambone... LOL :)

the attraction is still operating in Walt Disney World. Now is the time is a replacement version for the orginal Great big beautful tomorrow which is orginal to the 63-64 ny worlds fair
