I think that FC is the streak of notes hit. so if the song has 3077 notes and you have a streak of 3077 and you miss half of the SP, it is still FC. Please correct me if I am wrong

Alt-strumming actually isn't the preferred way of doing it. Although that is how I got my FC, many pros prefer just to downstrum the whole thing, which I don't understand since I would think your arms would tire out before the end. I tried downstrumming it and seriously could not do it.
