One of the worst videos I've seen was of a corean missionary who was beheaded by a taliban soldier. One of the worst videos I've seen was of a corean missionary who was beheaded by a taliban soldier. The taliban first opened just a little hole in his throat, and then the missionary started screaming like crazy..so maybe he wasn't all that convinced about going to Heaven after all..and then the taliban cut his head clean off and held it up in the air.. In context what that bastard is saying is that "I'm going to let you stay for TODAY", meaning he's going to leave him alone for now but will return again for the same reason. I have lived in the American West, where fundamentalism, Mormanism, born-againism and literal Bibleism have many converts. And that is supposed to be an individualist region, going back to the settlers and cowboys. I find that the American Northeast and Western Europe are the most immune to missionaries, and I have also lived in these places. They are the home of Western Civilization.

Germany may have been nominally Christian (which is why they needed that lie to begin with), however the leaders of the Nazi party and their followers justified their beliefs with Darwinian concepts which make up the backbone of Nazism. @Kidzilla99 It was brought over by Evangelical Xtians from the Bible Belt in America that brought it to S Korea. Now Mormons get special Visas to do this. Any other visa requires a Criminal Records Check while a 'religious' one does not!

Religion would not exist without the individual. Granted evil can come forth from both secular and religious sources, but with religion the will of God makes for an easy excuse to do great harm.

i do not want to offend anyone.....but, i have to ask this: why is it that the Korean peninsula (forgive me if you think i am generalizing too much), or i should say many of it's inhabitants, seems to take whatever the West offers them and take it to a whole new (higher and more extreme) level? examples: religion, plastic surgery, communism (kim jong ill and his father are actually fascists btw), hip hop music, boy/girl band thing, video games etc.....

I think people tend to generalize far too quickly, for example, if a person is, or does, something bad and there race or nationality is involved, it immediately becomes the reason or the cause and therefore they believe that somehow because one person of this race does it, then they all do, which is quite possibly the stupidest way to think.

@MrConpro have you been to SK? Some SK are easily duped because they have lived in a reclusive society. Koreans (generally younger) who are well traveled are generally not like this. That Koristian guy is not representative of most Koreans either. It's the Gwangju generation (in their late 30s to 50s plus) who are easily duped and the most abborant in their nature. Some of them are Super Koristians, some are Ultra Nationalist ("Korea No. 1") but most are friendly and almost all are nationalistic

@MrConpro Have you been to South korea? It's not caled the Hermit Kingdom for nothing. Here you will meet some of the most single minded people in the world...2nd only to North Korea. I lived and worked there for 10 years and once they have an idea in their mind they become obsessed with it and are impossible to reason with. The Govt in the 70s introduced a subject called 'Ethics' into schools which teaches them to all be obsessive compulsive ultra nationalists. I know Koreans who agree with me!
