@riceified, yes, people really big don't move around that quick. They have the advantage of dunking without their feet leaving the ground, but they are not as agile as shorter players. Michael Jordan wasn't very tall (6'6"), but he had the skills and agility. Very tall players like Shawn Bradley, Yao Ming, and Gheorghe Muresan can pretty much reach the rim without jumping, or almost without jumping, but they have to mainly just use their height since they don't have so much agility.
