@SaVAg3xMInD308 , I glue 3 layers of 3/4" Baltic Birch to give me 2-1/4" width in which to work with... You can see in the video that dowels were used to keep pieces aligned for the gluing process..
i see you have modified you qb79 to take HPA. Did you have to make any modifications to the gun or just fit the regulator and tank and start shooting?
Many mods to the QB... Original config is not safe to use with HPA...
Custom main tube, custom valve, custom barrel, all fasteners have been replaced with Grade 5 or better and a few other mods to bring it all together...

anyone know where i can get a c02 bottle that is 9 ounces and it has to be 2.000 inches or smaller for it to fit onthe gun whithout it hitting the barrel...thanks
What I have to work with is a band-saw, scroll saw, router, planer, drill press, power sanders, mortise machine and various hand tools... What I would love to have is a milling machine...lol
i thinking of making a new stock for my qb78 out of steel tubing so it would look like a stock on a barret 50 cal cos im bored of the normal stock my rifle's got even tho i cant shoot it cos the valves have gone and it wastes all the gas one 1 shot but oh well will get it sorted when i have the money lol
Are you using a planer to make your laminate sections? I was considering using hardwood scraps (lots of hardwood pallets come into the area that end up trashed) to produce laminates for stocks... Oh and the glue?
I presume you have a 7oz bottle fitted as my 9oz bottles foul the barrel and bend it when tightened up. Can't get seem to get anything smaller than 9oz in the UK so I refill my 88g's by using a preset on/off. Nice stock, the standard one is far too angular so I stripped then smoothed mine down by rounding the sharp edges and customising the grips. Might have a go at a compound stock having seen yours.
Hey there Biffo1262 the bottle is a 9-OZ bottle, that one has a diameter of exactly 2" unlike the CO2 bottles you find today that are over 2" and interfere with barrel... The 88g AirSource bottles work well and with the add on adapter you can save a bundle on CO2 by filling it yourself... Some folks aren't comfortable filling high pressure vessels.... Enjoy your builds...
Thanks for the info as I have three, 1 steel, 2 aluminium 9oz bottles and I only tried the one so I tried them all and low and behold the steel one fits. I am now a happy man.
I find it easier to handle this particular rifle with a heavier target stock, but everyone has their own preferences. Just do what's best for your style and strive to achieve accuracy....
wow!!! good work dude!
