  • In chronological order:

    1. Archer

    2. Kirk

    3. Picard

    4. Sisko

    5. Janeway

Picard is one of the five great Star Trek captains, the third in line. Third of Five. Wow.

  • Kill that piece of metal right now!!!! -_- what is "friend" anyway?

  • Hugh is amazing for what he says...

  • when he says "locutus" really thrill me.

  • Whe i says "locutus" really thrill me.

  • The next Generation & Voyager & The Movies with the original cast are the best series!

  • @UltimateTARDIS Why not DS9 ?

  • I have not watched DS9 yet!

I am thinking of buying season 1 on dvd in a few months!

  • @UltimateTARDIS You definitely should, well worth it in my opinion !!!

  • it seems that borg assimilate only humans,

why not assimilate a ferengi or a klingon ?

  • @bahrest2 oh yeah, you try to Assimilate a Klingon!^^

  • @Zwangsworkaholic I think they have assmilated at least some Klingons, I think this was shown in Voyager

  • whyart thou hard of hearing me? Q-tip of Bjorn. Oboma Abomi /watch?v=9VzAKpPJTqQ why are you here? roll the borg why does it happen? roll the borg reading rainbow shall never die thus and verily /watch?v=9VzAKpPJTqQ
  • Borj? Sounds like a swedish tennis player.

    /watch?v=Cqg_ZGcuybs

    Hugh Syme

  • Amazing scene. Very powerful.

  • Love the friendship between Hugh and Geordi.

  • One of the best scenes, love it!

  • Maybe theres a drone called 9000 of 1 :{3

  • finally saw this episode this evening cuz i hated the idea, but damn was i short-sighted...! BEAUTIFUL STATEMENT ABOUT FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!

  • Discovering his humanity very moving

  • I'm not sure what Picard is trying to do here...?

  • @xCyberdog If I recall correctly Hugh was a plan to plant a "humanism virus" into the Borg. Picard wanted to make sure Hugh had it before they sent him back.

  • @PAKdaSilva

Ah okay =3 thanks for the info :D

  • @xCyberdog is trying to troll hugh for the lulz...

  • @Psquit

    Oh yes boss XDDD

  • @xCyberdog Picard hates the Borg because he was once assimilated (as Locutus) into the collective. So he's testing Hugh to see if he's truly an individual or if he's still Borg. A great test of allegiance here, that Hugh passed when he directly disobeyed what he thought to be a Borg leader unit (which Picard/Locutus was, when he was assimilated).

  • @DrMadolite Picard was cussed out by Nechayev for this too

  • imagine if Q stayed human and stayed on the ship for the rest of the show and Hugh stayed on the ship it would be real interesting

  • Picard IS Locutus because he retained the memories from being assimilated.

  • Good clip

  • if there hanging off a ledge about to fall just keep on walking. just remember what they did to you. they didn t care about you so u have to not care about them . in my experenice that what people have done 2 me.

  • young and impressionable that why some kids turn out ok and others turn out *&^% there are times when you have to just not give a *&^T what the Borg have done. what they did to Guien's people n others when u have a chance to destroy or get rid of something evil than do it for the Greater Good. If any 1 to blame its Q IMO that goes for relationships if a person is not treating with respect n using u. have the B**ls to just 4 get them even if they r stranded som where just keep on going

  • Hugh is sooo cute!!!

  • Hugh is awesome, and reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands.

  • I wonder what the conversation between Chris Tucker and Hugh would be like...

  • I swear Hugh is Icheb from Voyager!!!

  • I swear Hugh is Icheb from Voyager!!!

  • I loved Hugh! He was so cute.

  • Who played Hugh?

  • Yep. Hugh the Borg is hottest Borg.

  • i think Hugh's actor is hawt :P

  • @bennie128 its my uncle

  • @marciatorres1596 SRS? what is his name?

  • @bennie128 Jonathan del Arco

  • I love how he immediately calls Picard Locutas, and also when he says "I"

  • :/

  • Comment removed

  • @chop11111 Excellent idea Georgi must die

  • @xsf908 NOOOOOOOOOO, I think Levar Burton is cool!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is he pretending to be Locutus or IS he Locutus at that moment?

  • @M3g4t0n

Literally, he was pretending...but figuratively? Damn good question, my friend.

  • @RoflmaoRob I suspect at that moment that Hugh isn't connected to the Collective?

  • @M3g4t0n

Prolly not, I don't see how he could be...

  • @M3g4t0n

    Why do you ask?

  • @M3g4t0n

yeah.. good point.. he's one of those select few who will always be a part of that exclusive club..

    club BORG..

not that it's a wonderful club to be a part of in the first place..

  • @kiyotewolf I'm going to have to make jackets now....

  • @Jehendos

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"

  • Couldn't agree more ... Hugh is one of my favorite too.

Wouldn't it be a treat that Hugh would appear in another TNG movie (wishful thinking, I know, but ...) and join force with Picard et al. to fight off another Borg invasion?

  • I always thought that it would be cool if Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager met Hugh of Star Trek:The Next Generation.

  • One the of best scenes! This episode was almost movie-like!!!!

  • I saw this one LOVED IT

  • This episode was perfect. :)

  • I still think it was a mistake not to infect the Borg with the computer virus.

  • @loner1878 yea how did spock say "the need of many outweigh the needs of one" or something like that^^

  • Well there was no real guarantee that it would work as the crew had no real proof it would. Besides something good did ultimately come out of it, a group of ex-borg got to live their lives free of the collective somewhere as individuals. Besides the main thing with this episode is that Picard learns not to let his hatred of the Borg stop him from seeing that Hugh has become an individual and not to prejudge him. People seem to miss that when they focus too much on the computer virus thing.

  • Great scene in all it,s simplicity. Patrick,s reaction to "Locutus" was shilling and how he acted the role. Hugh saying "I" was also striking

  • my mouth dropped open the first time I heard a Borg say "I". classic and understated storyline arc in the series and Star Trek as a whole

  • A real powerful scene...how Patrick never got an Emmy is beyond me.

  • @Neojedigoddess

Seriously that was like one of the most epic scenes ever in a star trek episode period. It is because all of those dumb bastards that hated on Star Trek that Pat didn't get one. But no matter, in the end, he will be remembered.

He was in Oblivion and other things because his voice is so epic. Patrick = Epic

  • @Neojedigoddess because its star trek

  • @Neojedigoddess No one respects the sci-fi.

  • @Neojedigoddess at least he was knight a merit that thousand of those who had merit a trophy of any kind can count themself jealous

  • Awww Hugh is cute lol..

  • Borg are rubbish

  • @xsf908 - No, John. You are the rubbish.

  • i am borg i won wimbledon 5 times in a row

  • RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! RESISTANCE IS DOOM! THESE CULTURES SHALL AND WILL BE ASSIMILATED!! FOREVER POWER THE COLLECTIVE!! FOREVER POWER THE BORG!!!!!

  • this episode makes me realize why i love the borg as much as i do

  • Okay is it just me or is Picard kinda sexy in this vid??

  • @deppgurl150 you are realy disturbed for even thinking that lol

  • @richcampoverde She's hardly the only one who's ever thought he was. Not speaking from experience, since I'm a guy, lol! But he is 100% awesome, and I want to grow up to be like him ;)

  • @Wibblywoo12345 couldent agree more he is a fine actor and a true gent

i have actualy met him in my home town of leeds

  • @deppgurl150 yes he is

  • Resistance IS NOT futile.

  • Later, the Enterprise stayed in some sort of field that would cloak their presence to the Borg sensors, but they said that within ear range of Hugh. When he was re-connected with the Borg, they would know Enterprise would be there and where it would be. Also, I don't believe they would be so naive as to see Geordi and not wonder why was a human with no food or supplies so far from any human vessel: they would search it.

    Aside from that, nice episode.

  • SPECTACULARLY written scene!! And spectacularly acted. I daresay this might be one of the best scenes in the entire series.

  • Hugh should have stayed on the Enterprise. He would have been an interested Individual as he evolved away from being a Robot with Picard's Interaction.

the character of Hugh was of course the Basis for Seven of Nine.

  • I have always wondered why Locutus got a name, but almost every other Borg has a number...

  • @SamaCWNS Locutus was unique, he was to be the bridge between Humanity and BORG. Theory only.

  • @SamaCWNS The Borg chose him to be their liaison with the humans, someone who would bridge communications and tell them of their impending doom :( They also wanted him for his knowledge of star fleet, the only thing that was stopping them from assimilating the human race.

  • why is picard acting like this?

    was he testing him?

  • @boffgirl yep

  • @boffgirl Yes, he was testing Hue. Would he assimiliate, would he attack, would he allow Geordi to resist---to die---would he FOLLOW ORDERS.

    "I will not you."

    "What did you say?"

    "..*I* will NOT assist you."

  • star trek er da herligt tidsfordriv for middeltvnarkomaner uden indsigt ell interesse

    for den virkelige verden

    b

  • I love Hugh! His little puppy face kind of reminds me of Johnny Depp as Edward Scissor Hands. So scared and fragile-looking... this is a great episode.

  • For a guest ctor he did outstanding. This episode is my personal favorite!

  • I think he was gay, that's why the Borg kicked him out and let him go about autonomous to turn the humans.

  • Hmm...he was Third of Five.

But why wasn't she Seventh of Nine...?

  • Love this scene

  • though they managed to breed themselves into being over 90% of the population by the 24th century, they still found it difficult to do anything but manual labor.

  • Ah, the boring strains of Jay Chattaway. No fault of his though.

  • Did he say Hugh or "You" ? Still a Borg then I see.

Clever if not odd choice of name as they sound almost the same.

  • I want to be a borg..

  • That's Clifton Collins Jr. as Hugh. Isn't it!!

  • I love this BORG

  • I'd rather be borg.

  • there is no I in borg.

  • That's the whole point of the episode, they separated a borg from collective and thought him individuality.

  • But he didn't have boobs.

  • Man, watch the show before you say something dull.

  • I did.

  • Then this is a false statement and you should know better.

  • As far as I know all borg is one.

  • Except for the queen. And also Seven of Nine in that episode where she rejoins the collective but stays an individual.

  • seven of nine, big tits

    ohh ya

    she can assimilate me anyday

  • i dont like the idea with a borg queen

  • I agree, I like them better as all plugged in as a collective, without a central leader. Like their ships, totally tied in and totally redundant.

  • She is not like a central leader, she is just a good way to Help along the understanding and a simulation of a world, her death means nothing :P

  • me either but she brings order to chaos....

  • Hugh is one of my favorite characters (after Data and Geordi) which is kind of weird because he only appears in two episodes. T_T Not enough Hugh!

He's just so cute when he's confused!

  • @PeterRabid Which is the second episode he is in?

  • @Renagade2332 "Descent"

  • @PeterRabid thx

  • @PeterRabid

me too! i love how he loves Geordi<3 hes so cuute!

  • @PeterRabid I always thought that it would be cool if Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager met Hugh of Star Trek:The Next Generation.

  • Does anyone know what episode this is from?

  • "I, Borg" - season 5, episode 23

  • personal and friends life experiences.. bye and good luck.

  • Oh he exists. his best trick is to convince most espeically libs that he doesnt.

This is how one ends up taking the tracking chip called the 'mark' after the coming economic meltdown.

This definitely is the dividing line between the scoffers and those who know.

  • Sounds good, what you do.. Here in America we have Lawyers who twist the law for a given 'agenda'. It's all about winning and losing.. NOTHING to do with Justice..

  • most,,like 70 % to 30 %

  • just wanted to see what you'd say...

  • Wow, this is a bit backwards...

  • I've had a LIFE time of seeing what Lawyerrrsss do..

  • Is Satan pure evil??

  • Some Jews are like that.. How am I stereotyping by mentioning Mao and Capone?

  • It's code for, YOU ARE HOPELESS...

  • and you should open your eyes and stop 'twisting'.

  • antifatbastard when you say an evil person does evil things because he is simply evil without any reason just for the cause of beeing evil, than you are defending them too in a way. You're giving them an excuse for their actions, so every mass murder, raper etc. could say "It's not my fault, I'm just born evil, so what should I do?"

In everyone of us there's evil and good, that's what defines humanity.

  • And there are people out there who seems to have more evil than good, because of their actions.

  • Lawyers TWIST all truth , all reason. The better you twist , the better lawyer you are... Thats what you are doing right now.......................

  • I KNEW you were a Lawyer.. That explains EVERYTHING... Everything.. Here's 2,, Al Capone and Mao . 80,000,000 murdered and Capone , who his followers said of Capone he enjoyed hurting people.. Now you can Lawyerrrr it up all you like but I'm done speaking to you 'lawyer'. I've seen what 'lawyerrrss' have done to the USA. Have a nice day Sholom..

  • And I like to have sex with beautiful woman.. So I guess, because I do, I 'could' go out and rape women and I could say ,,'It wasn't evil, it was because of sexual need.." Are you an ACLU lawyer?? Sure sound like one. Hitler killed Jews because he HATED them.. Read his writings.....

  • In all 4 of your postings you ARE justifying evil with 'reasons' I hope the others read what you wrote.. They may then understand how mass murder is rationalized.

  • It doesn't matter if its a Borg or a Nazi or even a Communist. Their is always the hope that somewhere deep down that no matter how evil a person is, everyone has a little humanity left in them.

Imagine what history would have become if Hitler had taken even just 1 minute to think about all the evils he had done in his life.

  • But hitler DID NOT... 6 million Jews DEAD.. Star Trek is P.C. BULLSHIT.. In the REAL WORLD Evil gets more evil and yes I'm Jewish..

  • if Star Trek is P.C. Bullshit then why do you have a clip from "First Contact" in your favorites menu?

  • Because that clip shows them DESTROYING the Borg.............

  • no one is forcing you to watch. You don't like this episode, gtfo.

  • Thanks for respecting my freedom of speech...While you are thinking everybody can become 'nice and sweet' there are evil mother fuckers out there waiting for your weakness to spread.. Read about Neville Chamberlain..

  • Everyone is human at the end of the day, and just like they have the ability to be evil, they can be good, no matter what group they are part of.

  • Thats simply not true. I've seen people who are pure evil.. Nothing would ever change them,,nothing... As for the Borg,, they were 'controlled' by implant devices. They were not individuals.. not human..

  • "Thanks for respecting my freedom of speech..."

He's got as much of a right to write things here as you do. If you "feel hurt" by his comments, perhaps you shouldn't have done the same with regards to this video.

  • favorite episode

  • Nice implementation of reverse psychology, Picard...

  • *-* hugh is cute^^

  • watch?v=RSYlKE04Mro&feature=related

    I, Borg. Enjoy.

  • Picard was and is still the best captain. gogo Picard

  • Yeah, I like him better than Kirk or the woman from Voyager (I don´t know how to write her name). But have you seen the new movie? Aaaaawesome. The best crue I´ve ever seen. The actors were great, I could really believe, it´s the old good The Original Series ship crue.

  • Fuck, now I hella wanna watch this episode, I remember this episode from so long ago, and it was such a fucking touching story, especially how the biggest threat to the universe gets dealt a serious blow simply because one of their own learns the value of life. Great TNG moment.

  • This is such an excellent episode, about human self discovery, self realization, sanctification, how else can one describe it?

  • one of the best moments of star trek history and thats what so great about next gen it introduced the borg into the star trek universe

  • he made 3/5,as Hugh, not to hurt the human, right?

  • Hugh! ^_^ *tears up* Patrick Stewart is a masterful actor.

  • where is the rest of it?

  • one of the best trek moments ever, can be read on so many levels

  • this was such a great episode

  • Hugh is sooo... cute! *squee* ^.^ I love him and Data the best! <3

  • i want every star trek episode ever made posted. i love it! nothin like a bit of trekkin to escape the normal daily grind :)
