  • @11moii Thanks! I googled "What is that sauce?" and got Urban dictionary. That sauce is either doy sauce, pepper that sauce, the mecklenburg sauce, hoss sauce, sauce vortex, stoner sauce, sauce or any one of the sauces listed on 142 pages.

  • Nicko my dear! Love this recipe! There is a Pizza Chain here in the States that offer an Apple Dessert Pizza. Your recipe reminded me of it a little. It is soooooo good! I'm going to give your recipe a try as your recipes always turn out great! Granny Smith apples are perfect to use! :- They are also good with caramel, LOL. Hugs to Nicko!

  • awesome! quick questions... I see a sheen on the pastry sheet... did you give it a quick buttering before the topping? second question: I love custard & ice cream, but it can cause chaos with my tummy and have lactose intolerant friends... would an option for a substitute peach glaze-ish kind of thing work? or would that change it up too much? maybe caramel...hmm too sweet, not summer-ish enough? its late, sorry... suggestions? I was thinking of making this for an upcoming house warming.

  • Hi Katz! hope your well :) The sheen is just the moisture from it thawing out of the freezer. I didnt butter mainly because i dont want any extra moisture as the apples do that :) You could try peaches, just make sure they are firm enough to cut thinly. Also if you want a extra caramel effect just add some more brown sugar on the top, will dissolve right down on that bad boy! Hope this help :)
