So very true Tannager180 - It is a natural and beautiful thing. God intended us to give birth this way, to trust our bodies and I do not keep my 4 daughters from seeing such a beautiful moment. It is not the actual deed sheesh people :P
What a beautiful moment - that you so very much for sharing with all of us. We are expecting our 5th little one and we are trying to decide what we should do. My 4 other births were in the hospital which was a horrible experience. God Bless <3
Just lovely. Thank you for sharing! I'm confused though why this is flagged as a sensitive video and we have to be over to see it. It's a very sad reflection on our society's attitude toward birth and our bodies, I'm afraid.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I hope one day to be a birth photographer. Was Trista a friend of yours? If not, how do you get into this field?
Thanks everyone for all of your sweet comments. Everyone involved in this project is very happy, and were just as moved. I look forward to witnessing another birth, hopefully in the near future, as this was just an energizing experience!
Tranquility1965az - To answer your question, no that was not the Doula that was the expecting mothers sister who was there for love and support.
I hope to share another birth story with the world soon, so check back in with me on YouTube. :-) ~Laura~
that was beautiful. I'm a midwife and I would love for clients families to see this because it represents all the wonderful home births that midwives provide. With love and without fear.
Beautiful and touching. Keep telling others about your birth experience. Most are not aware that it can be this way. But it can and it should. From one homebirth family to another, great job!
My wife sent me to YouTube to learn about water births. I'm impressed, the dad got to be in the tub? And who is the other one in the tub? The Doula? One way or another, it would seem as though from all these movies I'm seeing that the water does really help. Thanks for sharing, I guess we can return the favor when it's our turn to deliver...
Beautiful photos and layout of the movie, it works well with such a pretty song. I don't have kids but when and if I do I'd like to have a birth like this one. The mother seems so relaxed and she is so lucky to get such great support from the midwife. Great job, thanks for sharing!
Thanks everyone, I hope it brought a sense of joy & awareness to you when watching it. :-) It was a pleasure to put together! If you have not already tried this, please click the HQ button on the bottom right side of the movie frame, then the button next to it before watching the video. This will give you the very best view, next to of course being there first hand! :-D
Great video :-D

@buddhasgarage Glad you enjoyed the song, it's quite fitting! The song is called Calling All Angels, by the lovely Jane Sibbery.

Nice to see the US including their births at home more, I am in hope that this continues to improve for baby and mother more in the US.
