@tevisboe234 he is better than bonham...a drum solo does not make a drummer at all, its what they did for their music, look, bonham was technical, moon had better chops, (except bass drum), bonham couldn't fill like moon.. he did things bonham couldn'tt do and vice versa, bonham was more powerful however, moon did SOOO much for drumming, a unique, UNDUPLICATABLE style, with so much energy and emotion, isnt that what rock and roll is about? bonham was unbelievable tho, but keith was the best
I sat in the center section in the fourth row on the floor for this concert when kieth Moon walked out and joined Bonham on stage. I was 14 when I sat in line on the streets of inglewood for 3 days waiting for my chance at tickets. those were the days. I still have a picture of bonham and moon together.
@1234tetsutetsu Debatable. Ginger Baker of The Cream was doing it to in when he was with the Graham Bond Organization during the early 60s as well. And he was twice the drummer that Moon was, technique-wise.
Zeppelin and the who two great fucking bands that lost my favorite members. Love Zep more and John Bonham but Keith Moon's insanity behind the drums made him great too <3 RIP BONZO AND MOON <3
@tevisboe234 I have every live video of Zep so I've already seen this way back. I have the two dvd set this is from. I've played every Zep song ever written including ones that never made it onto any of their studi albums including Bonzo's Monteaux and Poor Tom, etc...Ths video is a drum solo. I love Bonhams sound and feel but I don't think he was the best soloist. Listen to some of the great jazz drummers man. That's all I can tell you. They're all over youtube: Philly Joe, Elvin, Buddy, Max..
@tevisboe234 you say Watch this vid" There's nothing to watch. It's all audio and it sounds like a terrible recording but I can tell the two styles enough. It's a matter of opinion who's better. And you say learning cover versions isn't so hard; yeah if you're just playing whatever you want but tha't not the point. Learn some Zep songs note for note and you will find it over-all much easier than learning a Who song. If you're really going to say who's better how else can you measure?
@tevisboe234 Uh so because someone uses hi-hats that's one of the things that make them a better drummer? Whew! That's a stretch. 95% of drummers use hi-hats. The fact that Moon chose not to attests to his very original and individual style. Listen dude I'm not only a professional drummer but also a drummer teacher with over 25 students and when I tell you that one of my best students has spent a couple of months learning Won't Get Fooled Again" I'm not kidding. Never took him that long for Zep.
Damn I love both Led Zeppelin and The Who ...fucking incredible and totally different!!! You don't compare em'. And trying to say which is better Bonham or Moon is like comparing Rembrandt and Van Gogh. It's a waste of time and energy. I'm just sorry I never got to see either one live, but thanks jimmyboy for posting this. RIP Bonzo and Moonie...we love you boys!!!
Two seminal bands that somehow got away with being fronted by two of the biggest dick heads in rock. Actually I've never met Roger Daltrey but he always struck me as a cock and if I never meet Plant again it'll be way too soon!
Keith Moon and John Bonham legends as are all those great musicians that are taken too soon and this recording of them both together is a great testament to there testicular fortitude! I'd complain about the compression but it was quite trippy, thks jimmyboy
@decorActive7 I agree. Robert Plant was always a bit of a show stopper kind of guy. But his voice would not have been good for any other band. Without Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin would have never been this big. Each member brought something special to the group. And they made music that forever changed the face of rock. The Who also had a short dickhead as their lead singer, but yet, it wouldnt be right without him. :/
@ndb1971 Ask any drummer. O.K. I just asked myself. I've been playing professionally for over 30 years. Both drummers here were big influences on me as well as Carl Palmer, Billy Cobham, Neil Peart, and about 100 or so others. If you want to put just one of them up on a pedastal because you think he looks cool or something that's fine but if you think that any of these guys is greater than the others you just don't know as much about drummers and drumming as you maybe should.
@spercoco LOL, professional drummer my ass, first off I hate music critics and picking best or greatest whatever, but when you have Roger Taylor, Ian Paice, Cozy Powell, Carmine Appice, Bill Ward, Bill Buford, Clem Cattini, Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, Mike Portnoy, ect.,ect. all quoted as saying "he was the best of the best" you tend to think...Hmm, maybe he was the best. Who the fuck are you to think your opinion matters, why dont you post a video of yourself playing "Good Times Bad TImes, chump.
@ndb1971 I learned to play Good Times Bad Times when I was in high school note for note all by ear. Yeah even the double bass beats everyone seems so in awe of. Easy shit compared to The Black Page which I've also played and which you probably never heard of. Later when a decent book came out on Led Zeppelin drum transcriptions I realized I was dead on. Who the fuck are you calling a chump. Care to have a drum battle? I will eat you for lunch and then shit out rhythms you can't even comprehend.
@spercoco The Black Page-a steaming pile of crap written by Frank Zappa, described by Vinne Colaiuta as a "joke", is used by the CIA to torture terriorists into confessions, the fact that you confuse techinical difficulty with great sound and rhythm is more proof you are a clueless hack. Whos your favorite guitar player, Yngwie Malmsteen? You wouldnt know a good drum sound if it fell on your head, and yes I do want to have a drum battle, post a video CHUMP.
@ndb1971 The Black Page might sound like a steaming pile of crap to you because you can't even comprehend it. I suppose you're a big fan of Rap as well. Now you're talking drum sound? Oh Terry Bozzio and Frank Zappa don't know what a good drum sound is? Why does Bozzio not only play DW drums but they custome make drums for him you dumb shit. In case your wondering why I'm mentioning Bozzio...he's the drummer that came in and nailed The Black Page Zappa's audition. When and where?
@spercoco Bozzio was already in the band when Zappa wrote the black page for him, Vinnie Colaiuta is the one who nailed it in his audition you stupid fuck, Bonham and Colaiuta are rated by drummerworld magazine as top 10 alltime drummers, Bozzio is not on that list, , the greatest drummers are born with it, you cant learn it in school, you say you played Bonzos Montreux, thats funny because its full of overdubs added by Jimmy Page and Bonham himself never played it, you are a liar and a fraud.
@ndb1971 Usually guys with mouths like yours are the ones who can't back it up worth s a shit. Put your money where your mouth is school boy and let's do this drum battle. You''l probably think you're better anyway since you seem to know jack shit about drumming but I'll have a good laugh tearing you to pieces you sorry ass fuck! BTW just look at the list of artists Bozzio has played with dim wit. I suppose the Brecker Brothers don't have good taste in drummers.
@ndb1971 Fool In The Rain also has over-dubs and I've played that live Dudly. Half the songs cover bands do have over-dubs stupid. I'm currently in a cover band that does 10 Years Gone which had no less than 12 guitar over-dubs I'm told. We are doing it with two guitarists. When Zep did it live it was obviously with just one guitar. I suppose he is a liar and a fraud also? You carck me up you're so pathetic.
@ndb1971 You're still too chicken to put your money where tour mouth is and have a drum battle twirp boy. Figures; I had it right from the beginning. The bigger the mouth the smaller the balls.
@ndb1971 not me..., as far as I am concerned, based on what moon did for rock drumming, what he did for his band, the energy he played with, his rediculous, unduplicatable style, moon was way beyond anyone, in his own league, then bonham 2nd in his own league, then guys like mitch mitchell, terry bozzio, chad wackaman, then everyone else..moon was the greatest
@TasOMW Moon said that same thing about Bonham in the beginning of Over The Top at some concert. He says he's the best rock and roll drummer, with Buddy Rich's arms. So I guess we'll never know haha.

Even after 30 years since their tragic deaths, they still remain as the best of the game. The best drummers to ever exist. And I'm sure they both knew how good the other was and they respected each other. Instead of arguing which one is better, people should just enjoy the collabration of these two geniuses
@spazzo Steady on now,the best to ever exist, good in their field yes. There are only several thousand jazz drummers who are better than them, both in technique and musical knowledge. The true test is that any half competent jazz drummer wil be able to do what they do,Bozo and Moon could not do what they could do.Not a criticism just a fact.i ASSUME YOU DID SEE BUDDY AND HIS ILK --if not find them on this site
They both were possibly the greatest drummers of rock in the whole wide world, along with some others of course, but saying that one is better the the other would probably insult them both. I think that Bonzo and Moon ar now rolling in their graves. Have some bleeding respect for them, they were both good, and if you think that one was better, shut up, because that's your opinion, so keep it to yourself.
The only reason Keith used two bass drums is because he wanted to. If you notice Who performances from around 1965, he's only using the average drum kit. He'd be playing like a mad genius, but his other foot tapped the hihat pedal a bit too fast. So he later replaced the hi hat with a second bass drum, and maybe added a few more drums as well...
and all these stupid dumb fucks are saying hes the best
and another thing peart said keith did
every thing you would want as a drummer
in a song there was no reason for him to do a drum solo this is coming from a technical genius who emulates buddy rich. your just a shallow mined so called drummer.
At the time Moonie is staying in Malibu and he hears that Led Zeppelin is in town to do a gig at the LA Forum. So of course, nothing will do but we must go & visit them where they are staying, which is the Beverly Hilton. We arrive at 5 in the afternoon...When it comes time for the gig, we find ourselves in Bonzo's room and suggest Moonie & I should nip along with him to watch the gig.
(excerpt from "Full Moon by Dougal Butler pg.50) Butler was Moon's personal assistant 1967-77
for starters i think Keith is one of the greatest and craziest drummers to ever play.. period.. but Bonham had more of a distinctive sound.. he had wayy more discipline and his fills were far more thunderous.. no im not kidding.. Keith also never did any drum solos.. besides taking part in this one.. and his gold fish filled drums solo..
just an opinion.. many ppl have tried to copy Bonham.. but have never succeeded..
How could u say Bonham just hit the drums hard? Do your research before making such comments.. i know Moon is unorthadox but his drum style is simple.. just all over the place...the most complicated fill ive heard him perform was at the end of We wont get fooled again.. thats it!
Moon had to use 2 bass drums to do what bonham did you fucking idiot! How could you put down the drummer that pioneered the single bass drum triplet? he could do more with one foot than many could do with 2... your ignorant..
wow that was the most ignorant comment ive ever heard come from anyone who supports any drummer.. his triplets influenced many modern day drummers.. MANY modern day drummers.. can you do better i think not.. the only rhythm your good at doing is fucking your boyfriends asshole
can you do a bass triple i think not.. before you post anymore ignorant drum comments YOU better do your research..
another thing fuck-head moon did so much other things then bonham he was able to respond to three instruments
could bonham do that no.
bang bang bang bang bang
his son plays just like him.
he was very very loud with
no fluid, and no speed. moon was ambidextrous i can name you 40 who songs where he easily wipes the floor with bonzo he used eschewing basic back beats as a secret for his drumming.
nope your an idiot.. total fucking moron.. Moon was great awesome.. one of the best..but he could NOT Match Johns speed.. Keith himself said on many occasions bonham was BETTER..
Bonham had no speed? how old are you 20? i saw him play Richfield Oh 77' he was fast as fuck.. you know nothing again... you never saw him play..
@MegaSpearchucker moon was definitally faster man lol..playing jon bonham's triplets does not require a whole lot of speed, for example, if you kept playing an extended version of the fills in stairway to heaven, and the fill at the end of rock and roll, and then played moon's young man blues, moon's drumming definitally requires more fast twitch muscle fibers
and dont comment on my page if i cant comment on yours asshole.. im brainwashed? i suppose me and 4 billion other bonham fans are too right? your an asshole.. who sucks dick
your a wannabe musician.. you know nothing about music.. you judge on only what you hear in albums.. you never seem them play so you cant judge.. faggot ass ill informed mother fucker
"Moon is known for innovative, dramatic drumming, often eschewing basic back beats for a fluid, busy technique focused on fast, cascading rolls across the toms and cymbal crashes. Moon was one of the first to play drums as a lead instrument in an era when drums were supposed only to keep the back beat. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most distinctive rock drummers
and your a RETARD who cant even play an instrument or no wtf hes talkin about.
hahha internet fight against an idiot haha... ive played drums for 40 yrs now.. i dont pretend to be anything im not UNLIKE you.. or spread falsehoods about famous drummers..
you an idiot.. an aspiring musician? wheres your material? wheres your vids? you dont have any because you probably suck along with you opinion of great drummers.. Keith was great one of the best but Bonham was better.. Keith said so many times.. ive seen them both play.. Bonham blew him out of the water
your the only fucking idiot on the face of the earth to say his triplets sounded like shit.. thats why many rock critics cite goodtimes bad times are one of the hardest drum tracks because of his extended triplets..again your an ignorant moron.. who knows nothing but how to suck dick
@MegaSpearchucker good times bad times is not a hard song, nor are his triplets, took me 5 days to learn that song, meanwhile i am still trying to learn wont get fooled again, bonham played some awesome triplets, but on the drums and fills, moon was faster, use your ears man
@jaqua524 note for note? Doubt it.. its a lot harder than most people think... Moons playing while more fluid was boring.. his fills were boring... the same "da dub da dub dub" no thunder no power behind his playing.. just noise.. but i still hold him high on my mantle because he too was a rock music pioneer.. We shouldnt even argue about who was better, hell i bet in heaven those drummers are probably laughing at idiots like us for comparing the 2 when they were both perfect musically
@MegaSpearchucker note for note, actually..almost completely....took me like..you know what I mean, you think you got it...then you notice something a tid bit different? and then you get that..then you notice something else a tid bit different haha...in total took me about a week to learn good times bad times, im natural...but i love moons playing, i love bonhams playing, i totally agree, no need to compare, and to your other comment..who the FUCK thinks bonhams triplets sound like shit!?
you keep repeating yourself NO fluid just noise.. if he was such a better drummer why do so many more ppl especially drummers agree bonham is way better? where are moons books? wheres his videos? wheres his drum solos? he doesnt have any thats why! Bonham is far superior nuff said..
Bonham and Moon are both superb.. but Moons drumming while unusual is NOT complicated.. he is not a better drummer he made more noise thats it..
his solos are so mediocre listen to proper practioners like ginger baker, mitch mitchell, carmine appice, etc they all have more skill then this overrated guy
who thinks banging the drums makes you a quality drummer.
@rockandroll4life1 Proper practioners? Are you kidding me? Carmine Appice himself had admired Bonham greatly, and besides, this "proper practice" of yours doesn't even exist - these drummers play like they want, not only that, you turn the fact that Bonham was a powerful player into a joke that he just made a lot of noise. Moon made more noise, and I bet you couldn't play a single fill even close like Bonham did.
pity there is no pic. This is like anti-matter - if you coud see it, it would be so fantastic, th world would end! I wonder what they were like out drinking
The after party would have been epic

Keith was the first guy who played the drums as a lead instruments in rock music.
John was a great innovator of hard/heavy rock beat.
They could have been a perfect duo to create a rock music only with the drums.
It's pity that this happened only once. This sound is sooo incredible.

Even after 30 years since their tragic deaths, they still remain as the best of the game. The best drummers to ever exist. And I'm sure they both knew how good the other was and they respected each other. Instead of arguing which one is better, people should just enjoy the collabration of these two geniuses
spazzo 1 year ago 7

So he later replaced the hi hat with a second bass drum, and maybe added a few more drums as well...

bonham and keith two amazing drummers!!!!!!!
brandontylerkaiser 2 years ago
hahhaha well off course i mean
led zep sold more records then the who
and he did a drum solo on a movie
and all these stupid dumb fucks are saying hes the best
and another thing peart said keith did
every thing you would want as a drummer
in a song there was no reason for him to do a drum solo this is coming from a technical genius who emulates buddy rich. your just a shallow mined so called drummer.

Bonham is playing the most here.. i think keith is just working the timpanis
beeterolds 2 years ago
I love both drummers but Keith Moon was amazing!
gcharocks 2 years ago
Moon was the best, but bonzo's not bad.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
no way.. bonham had more thunder
beeterolds 2 years ago
hahaha ur kidding me.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
for starters i think Keith is one of the greatest and craziest drummers to ever play.. period.. but Bonham had more of a distinctive sound.. he had wayy more discipline and his fills were far more thunderous.. no im not kidding.. Keith also never did any drum solos.. besides taking part in this one.. and his gold fish filled drums solo..
beeterolds 2 years ago
hmm.. i see ur point. but bonham did not have the fluid intensity and execution moon had as a drummer.
he could respond to 3 instruments in a band he was an orchestra. bonham banged the drums as hard as he could.
i can name u a dozen drummers that have copied his style.
but moon was unauthordox there has not been a single drummer in the history of rock n roll that could play like keith.
these were things that bonham could never do as a drummer.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
just an opinion.. many ppl have tried to copy Bonham.. but have never succeeded..
How could u say Bonham just hit the drums hard? Do your research before making such comments.. i know Moon is unorthadox but his drum style is simple.. just all over the place...the most complicated fill ive heard him perform was at the end of We wont get fooled again.. thats it!
beeterolds 2 years ago
haha not really..
i can name u 40 who songs where
his licks would eat bonham in a trading duel easily.
bonham couldnt even use a double bass drum kit cos he was that loud he drowned everyone.
he had no fluid.
he would compensate his lack of execution with loudness banging the drums as hard as he could.
hes overrated.
a drummer drumming for 5 years can do what bonham does..
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
Uh huh sure.. Keith himself said Bonham was the best drummer in the world.. how do you beat that?
beeterolds 2 years ago
Moon had to use 2 bass drums to do what bonham did you fucking idiot! How could you put down the drummer that pioneered the single bass drum triplet? he could do more with one foot than many could do with 2... your ignorant..
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
haha and your a retard.
how about you go find out some information u moron besides his
triplets suck shit.
hahaha lol .
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
wow that was the most ignorant comment ive ever heard come from anyone who supports any drummer.. his triplets influenced many modern day drummers.. MANY modern day drummers.. can you do better i think not.. the only rhythm your good at doing is fucking your boyfriends asshole
can you do a bass triple i think not.. before you post anymore ignorant drum comments YOU better do your research..
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
another thing fuck-head moon did so much other things then bonham he was able to respond to three instruments
could bonham do that no.
bang bang bang bang bang
his son plays just like him.
he was very very loud with
no fluid, and no speed. moon was ambidextrous i can name you 40 who songs where he easily wipes the floor with bonzo he used eschewing basic back beats as a secret for his drumming.
he could run shit all over bonzo's ass
in a drum duel and you know shit.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
nope your an idiot.. total fucking moron..
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago 2
i've seen him play over a million timesyou dumb ass haha. wtf are you on about ?
keith would led with his right foot when using one bass drum, but led with his left foot when using two bass drums..
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
sure ya did.. whered ya hear that? from roger daltreys interviews? Keith also followed Rogers vocals when he played along but that doesnt mean squat
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
no it dosent mean squat coming from
you all bonham could do was hit the drums really loud and let the kit feed back
a drummer playing for 5 years can become as a good as him.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
@MegaSpearchucker moon was definitally faster man lol..playing jon bonham's triplets does not require a whole lot of speed, for example, if you kept playing an extended version of the fills in stairway to heaven, and the fill at the end of rock and roll, and then played moon's young man blues, moon's drumming definitally requires more fast twitch muscle fibers
jaqua524 6 months ago
this is a drum duel right here were listening to you moron.. they are both playing.. dumb fuck if keith wanted to show bonham up he would have..
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
how about you listen to my generation
over and over you fuck or youngman
blues carefuly he has execution.
besides moon was in bad health at this time your the stupid cunt.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
this isnt a drum battle
where does it say ????
hmmmm.. no where. its just them havinga good time playing drums
besides moon was pages first choice
of a drummer not bonzo.
you fucking dumb cunt.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
and dont comment on my page if i cant comment on yours asshole.. im brainwashed? i suppose me and 4 billion other bonham fans are too right? your an asshole.. who sucks dick
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
another thing you little retard your the ignorant one.
moon influenced
baker, mitchell, and a early influence on
a young bonham so dont tell me,
you know jack shit about anything.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
your a wannabe musician.. you know nothing about music.. you judge on only what you hear in albums.. you never seem them play so you cant judge.. faggot ass ill informed mother fucker
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
and ive seen hundreds of drummers
cover good times bad times.
and no-one cover moons stuff that well
or good enough.
plus he was the biggest influence on
neil peart who plays like a jazz drummer.
and you obviously have problems with
gay people and you seem quite insecure about your self. grow up you old cunt.
and you seem more like you know nothing about music moon was faster
bonham was louder you silly cunt.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
"Moon is known for innovative, dramatic drumming, often eschewing basic back beats for a fluid, busy technique focused on fast, cascading rolls across the toms and cymbal crashes. Moon was one of the first to play drums as a lead instrument in an era when drums were supposed only to keep the back beat. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most distinctive rock drummers
and your a RETARD who cant even play an instrument or no wtf hes talkin about.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
hahha internet fight against an idiot haha... ive played drums for 40 yrs now.. i dont pretend to be anything im not UNLIKE you.. or spread falsehoods about famous drummers..
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
dude you cant give me a single logical debate why should i even bother wasting my time with a daft punk like you
who things bonham doing 1 drum solo
makes him better then keith moon.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
you an idiot.. an aspiring musician? wheres your material? wheres your vids? you dont have any because you probably suck along with you opinion of great drummers.. Keith was great one of the best but Bonham was better.. Keith said so many times.. ive seen them both play.. Bonham blew him out of the water
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago 2
your full of shit and as a matter of fact im uploading some in a few weeks
all bonham did was bang hard at the drums ok and another thing moon
had so much more speed then bonham
why dont you go and fucking listen to
the who's songs hes a jazz drummer
bonham was rock drummer.
and his tiplets sounded like shit.
and your a homophobic dumbass.
and i bet you cant even play a instrument.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
your the only fucking idiot on the face of the earth to say his triplets sounded like shit.. thats why many rock critics cite goodtimes bad times are one of the hardest drum tracks because of his extended triplets..again your an ignorant moron.. who knows nothing but how to suck dick
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago
also why dont you listen to his drum tracks
6:20 sounded like fucking shit
and same with 6:51 was just loud noise.
he was struggling. like hell no fluid just loud noise hitting the kit 3 times in a row with no finess.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
@MegaSpearchucker good times bad times is not a hard song, nor are his triplets, took me 5 days to learn that song, meanwhile i am still trying to learn wont get fooled again, bonham played some awesome triplets, but on the drums and fills, moon was faster, use your ears man
jaqua524 6 months ago
@jaqua524 note for note? Doubt it.. its a lot harder than most people think... Moons playing while more fluid was boring.. his fills were boring... the same "da dub da dub dub" no thunder no power behind his playing.. just noise.. but i still hold him high on my mantle because he too was a rock music pioneer.. We shouldnt even argue about who was better, hell i bet in heaven those drummers are probably laughing at idiots like us for comparing the 2 when they were both perfect musically
MegaSpearchucker 5 months ago
@MegaSpearchucker note for note, actually..almost completely....took me like..you know what I mean, you think you got it...then you notice something a tid bit different? and then you get that..then you notice something else a tid bit different haha...in total took me about a week to learn good times bad times, im natural...but i love moons playing, i love bonhams playing, i totally agree, no need to compare, and to your other comment..who the FUCK thinks bonhams triplets sound like shit!?
jaqua524 5 months ago
@jaqua524 this clown posting some shit above us^

@MegaSpearchucker yeah...troll I bet
jaqua524 5 months ago
@rockandroll4life1 you should change your name to "moron for life" and then go see a doctor because your ears are filled with your mothers shit.
ndb1971 1 year ago
and another thing you cock sucking bitch
you keep saying the same blah-blah
bull shit over and over by saying wheres your vids im not goin 2 tell u there on myspace and i never said i was better then bonham im saying
KEITH MOON IS A TRILLION TIMES
A BETTER DRUMMER.
moon emulated the style of jazz legends
gene krupa. and borrowed his style of using the swing style in his drumming through out who songs and buddy rich covered
the whos stuff..
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
you keep repeating yourself NO fluid just noise.. if he was such a better drummer why do so many more ppl especially drummers agree bonham is way better? where are moons books? wheres his videos? wheres his drum solos? he doesnt have any thats why! Bonham is far superior nuff said..
Bonham and Moon are both superb.. but Moons drumming while unusual is NOT complicated.. he is not a better drummer he made more noise thats it..
MegaSpearchucker 2 years ago 3
and another thing i can name 5 things
so wrong about bonhams drumming.
his solos are so mediocre listen to proper practioners like ginger baker, mitch mitchell, carmine appice, etc they all have more skill then this overrated guy
who thinks banging the drums makes you a quality drummer.
rockandroll4life1 2 years ago
@rockandroll4life1 Proper practioners? Are you kidding me? Carmine Appice himself had admired Bonham greatly, and besides, this "proper practice" of yours doesn't even exist - these drummers play like they want, not only that, you turn the fact that Bonham was a powerful player into a joke that he just made a lot of noise. Moon made more noise, and I bet you couldn't play a single fill even close like Bonham did.
grajdrums 1 year ago
@MegaSpearchucker Couldn't agree more. They were both awesome, but Bonham techincaly was better, only the "killer foot" of his means a lot.
