I have baby mice that are about 25 days old today. Yet I can't be sure if they are male or female. It's my first batch of mice, and I really need help on sexing them. I'm keeping the females, and they will be bred in later times, when they are plenty old enough. They are going to be bred for snake food, as much as I hate doing it. The females will never be food, and I bought a new male mouse to avoid inbreeding. I'll post a video of the babies, can someone help me sex them?
....awwwwwww loooookitttt! So tiny! I assume they haven't been weaned yet, and that it was OK for them to be apart from their siblings and mommy and daddy mouse.
@jwm239 It's best to handle them away from the parents so as to cause as little disturbance to the mother. Usually they get a break from feeding or cleaning, so they don't mind. No, they have their eyes wide open and are far more active when they are ready to be weaned.
