cat found one of these guys the other day on the floor under my computer desk. captured it and put it in a jar. got up the next day and it was dead. im assuming the cat wacked it and injured it and thats why it ended up dead.
@dlferich watch the move "arachnophobia", anything is possible! all it will take is a few of em to get on a trailer in a warehouse. be shipped to your area, you buy a product from the store. and then boom, got nasties in your house. and final boss spider you'll need a shotgun to kill it. supposedly pennsylvania doesnt have the brown recluse but my bro got bitten by one. he showed signs, docs did a tox report and the poison was found in his system.
@captnoddball .... Michigan... is much further north than Pennsylvania... the winters here are very harsh... im not worried about gettin bit by no brown recluse. The threat.. of being bit by one of those spiders.... IS NOT NEARLY as great... as it is down SOUTH... they do no thrive..... in my state. Therefore im not paranoid... of being bit by one. I remember i was gettin out the shower at my step mothers house in while visiting in Tennesee.... and i reached for my towel on the rack... and saw this hideous creature. I quickly pulled my hand away. Didnt get bittin.. thank god. One of my friends at the time... who lived down the street though wasnt as fortunate... and got bit in the armpit.. while laying in his bed... luckily though he was treated... and is alive.
Whoo. Hoo. Missouri. Right in the middle. & I've woken up with one climbing across my chest. It must've snuck under my sheets or something. Most terrifying moment of my life.
You would keep a deadly Spider in your home because it got rid of a few minor bugs? Why do some pretend that these deadly Spiders are the least of our worries? This is the dumbest logic.
@JudgeEden Spiders are more docile than fire ants..Given some spiders are naturally un-docile. Most spiders including the brown recluse are only aggressive when provoked by fast strikes toward it or close proximity that ISN'T made by the spider. And if you're more worried about a spider more than most of our other worries, maybe you should re-evaluate your logic.
@crazyvidman2 FU, when it comes to brown spiders, it can be very difficult to tell the difference between poisonous and non-poisonous; in any case its best to kill the damn thing then it is to take a chance of it biteing you in the future. Better safe than sorry.
@mrsnowcone98 obviously ur just a little kid trying to troll people. Don't listen to him he was born in 98. They are not in every state and they do not go in ur bed 2 times a month. LOL where are you getting ur stats from? ur idiot 14 year old friend next to you? dumbass
umm msliinybear brown recluses live in every state of north america but its more common to see or get bitten by one. and did you all know that brown recluses crawl through your bed about twice each month?
and about 70% of homes in north america are homes to families ofbrown recluse spiders! have fun arachnifobics
they're all over the US and lower canada, they are immigrants from asia, originally, if i'm not mistaken. my dad's been bitten twice, it's some nasty shit.
I had a whole bunch of these at my old house but we had even more black widows. If you are absolutely terrified of spiders, don't come to Mississippi.
These are the most common house spiders in the part of Kansas where I live. I have them in my house big time. They come out in late June and are visible until late September. Don't leave clothes on the floor, and don't let your covers touch the floor, and you'll be ok. They don't like to bite, it's usually a reaction to being crushed in shoes etc. Most bites are dry "love" bites. That is they don't inject venom.
Just as I was watching this a spider descended right in front of my face and I fell off my chair and broke down my door. In addition to that now I'm going to have to sleep in bubble wrap :D
My friend and I spotted one on his garage door and when we knocked it down it had crawled under his doormat leading into his garage. My friend stepped on the doormat and close to a hundred baby recluses started spurring out from the mat. Freakiest thing i've witnessed haha
@Ryzuhfy my mom got bite on the foot by one of these that tried to make her shoe it's home. Nasty little guys -_- You do not want to see the hole left on the sole of her foot... I live in tennessee
@Ryzuhfy they prefer to leave human alone and avoid contact, they also prefer small areas in your house and will go completely unnoticed if you dont go looking for them. i really doubt you'll have to move.
AWESOME. I'M GOING TO TEXAD TOMORROW. I will never take my shoes off, wear nothing but thick, clothes that cover my whole body, and never take them off and never sleep under the covers e.e

whoops >.> didn't watch it all the way before I posted that. But that fiddle marking is pretty hard to see. Some of the hunting spiders I have came acrost have verry dark clear fiddle marks on them and some don't have bands on there legs. So do they all look like this one because I can remember what it looks like? Or should I not even worry about it because I live in Indiana? =p
=/ I don't see a fiddle shape on its back. ugggh, its hard to know whats the real one when all the clips show differnt looking spiders. I know they don't have bands on there legs but what about the fiddle marking people say they have?
@shadowhunter388 The spiders you have been killing were probably just harmless house spiders. They are large hairless spiders with that similar crease in the abdomen.
iam not saying that people shoul'd not be aware. The only have to do is when cleaning dark places fool of piles boxes and debris should be using gloves and not bare footed. Plastic gloves you are wearing even for cleaning your garden or plates in your home or something like it. These spiders stays not close to daylight and moves around at night. Very big deal to be freaked out and loose the basic idea of protection and where they live
ok put music for horror films or so take a brown recluse and leave it on a matrice or inside clothing take it in the garden and let it walk towards your living room. how do you think the documentary was made someone took the spider and made it the perfect selling documentary for just selling purposes. Then if you are a fool you will check your matrice everynight more fool you will get hysterical. Instead of watching this read, google and then learn.
in my opinion this video which is a tv documentary instead of saying what you should do if you are getting bitten by a recluse or where bites occur or where it stays. Everything you should know on recluses and the habits it has it just show you how to get freaked and get histerical if you see a brown spider in your home. The documentary leaves on purpose recluses on beds near babies on clothing and so on to get you freaked out yeap to sell more. Recluses are dangerous but people get histerical.
I hate god damn spiders their hairy have a fat ass and crawl like sonic. now after watching this i will always check my house before doing anything where the spider can get me.

OMG O.o I've seen soo many of these in my house and killed many of them in my house! I didn't infact know they were brown recluse, SHIT!
shadowhunter388 3 months ago
@shadowhunter388 The spiders you have been killing were probably just harmless house spiders. They are large hairless spiders with that similar crease in the abdomen.

i chose to dislike it cause it brings more confusion than correct information and it does it on purpose to sell and to watch

iam not saying that people shoul'd not be aware.
