hey mark...YAW is something that can only happen while in the air... Jets have YAW Dampners that prevent it or make it so you don't notice it...when i'm doing a crosswind landing, thats yaw....bank the plane into the wind and apply opposite rudder, causing the plane to fly the approach sideways. thats yaw...not skidding sideways on the runway... if that really happened the pilot would have rejected the take off as that "skidding" causes excessive stress on the landing gear....dumbass....
I really would like to meet a loser like you and find out what is it about your life that makes u so pathetic to upload shit like this. I mean, is your mom a prostitute? did your father molest you? what is it??
Think of turbulence as pot holes in the sky and it will not bother you. I have flown enough times were some turbulence actually breaks up the monotony of flying as a passenger.
The best plane I ever have flown on that handled turbulence like going through a slight breeze was the L-1011. That plane seemed to be able to handle anything that was thrown at it.
This happened to me back in 2001 I was flying from Houston IAH to Philadelphia PHL on USAirways and ran into some bad weather and plus lighting was inches from hitting the plane and it everyone including myself got real quiet,so the plane started speeding up too get out the bad weather and I was shaking but I love flying with a passion but a few days before I have to get on a plane I check the weather channel more then I usually do on a day when I'm not flying
ok, I agree it's a disappointing video ... but I missed filming the really bad part. Everyone was okay, but shaken up. and YES ... you can skid sideways, it's not a lie, it's called a YAW. (look it up) I had never experienced it before so I was very scared, seemed like everyone on the plane was too.
I remember one of those rough landings myself with TAP a few years ago. It was even worse comparing to this. I almost buildt a bear in my pants. The pilot made a statement after landing about the incident due to hard sidewinds. Scary as hell! made me think twice to jump in an arplane again.
Stop being such a pussy, Research about airplanes before you bitch about "skidding on the runway", That's what crossing wind takeoff's are for and that's why planes have rudders and the ailerons dip either with or against the wind (i forgot) during the takeoff roll.
My expierence with Turbulence is what keeps me from flying. It really sux cuz it stops me from going places I want to go. I moved very far from home, and if there is ever an emergency back home, I don't think I will be able to do the plane. I will have to drive from Vegas all da way to Chicago.
@LastBattle2006 hey dude know its scary and all but turblunce is just a fact hundreds of planes aday go throught this ive flown 14 times past year from london to tornoto and back and i was fine each time
@hammer3456 yeah i imean i dont like turbulence, used to love it, then one day something just clicked saying i hate it, but i mean this flight wasnt that bad, nothing compared to what i went through over the atlantic
@LastBattle2006 That's not very far from home. I moved to California from Denmark... trust me, Vegas to Chicago is not very far. Plus you have a 1000% bigger chance of getting killed driving your car from Vegas to Chicago than you have flying 2-3 hours.
No this wasn't my first flight. It was delayed because of high winds that day. I asked my brother-in-law who is a pilot and this was his answer:
If the flight was delayed because of high winds, a side wind can push the tail sideways causing the aircraft to yaw (move sideways). This yaw would be most pronounced in the middle or back of the aircraft as you can more visually see the aircraft swaying. Although concerning, Im sure you were in no danger.
@congaleader2000 a plane can skid... JUUUUST FYI.. go read PHAK for the AFM.... just cause you cant relate it to tires screaming on the ground doesnt mean it isnt skidding.. and unwanted yaw axis motion is called "skid" or "slip" depending on if your in a turn or not. a slipping turn is a turn with no rudder applied to stay coordinated.. and skidding turn is to much rudder or the action of an aircraft to turn into the wind.... safe to say that if Boeing says it can.. it can and your just stupid.
@congaleader2000 and BTW read the description... he says ... skid sideways on the runway.............tires on the ground... hmmm sounds like its possible for it to skid if the pilot accidentally applied brakes while in the roll out... one thing to say something stupid. a whole other problem to call other people idiots for correcting you.
im a pilot in the japanes airlines i find that normal passengers r always panicking which is so normal bit when u come and sit in the cockpit ull feel more comfortable and safe :)
u wouldn't have skidded, trust me, u would know about it if u skidded, it was probably a gust of wind catching the plane on rotation. the shaking a dipping is normal behaviour during turbulance, nothing to be worried about.
Okay, I get it... my video stinks! You're comments though are priceless :)

Skid sideways meaning the pilot accidentally clutched on the yaw/like rudder. And second dipping up and down is cause of turbulent and strong winds.
