Ok, lets settle this. Evanescence is not in this same genre, i am a huge fan and know they are a diff genre, so you cannot compare different genres that way. Xandria, Within Temptation, Epica, ect are all amazing bands too, but they each posses their own qualities that make them unique and that can make people hate or love them. So either you love them or dont listen/watch and do something better with your time then try to start arguments on youtube. (:

Epica is better than Evanescence, but Evanescence is no doubt better than Xandria.

Though Xandria is a nice band, their lyrics are weak and the music is monotonic, most of the songs sound alike. Evanescences' songs, on the other hand, are very meaningfull, the music is also good.

I'm not trying to be offensive, only sharing my opinion.

for those who don't understand why, gothicmetal, melodeath,etc. aren't played on radio or tv in most place in the world because those kind of music are very hard to listen to due to the dark, heavy music and depressing lyrics so not everyone likes them. also almost everyone think these kind of music are emo(which they aren't). but that's what make these genre and us (rocklover) special because we can feel and understand what they can't. so be proud of yourself and rock till you die
