Excellent review Howard, clear concise and to the point on both headsets, makes a change having someone review who actually cares about the product. Market leaders take note - this is how to review a product - not using an ex trolley dolly reading from an auto cue in a fluffy techno studio. 10/10 Howard
Awesome Review!!!!! Thank you for taking the time and effort to share this info. Having the prime, I agree totally with the noise reduction factor, most important if you are actually using it all the time. I must say their customer service is excellent as well. I am trying out the blueant to see if the voice capabilities are easier for my personal use. The battery life is something I would like to know more about. Thank you again, this is such a help!
wow howard, this one's off topic but ... out of curiosity how are you able to get all your phones and accessories for testing anyways? majority of these phones and gear are quite pricey. were/are you just totally rich, owner of a corporation or a very experienced cellular repair technician/sales rep so different manufacturers just send test samples to you?
Based on your excellent review I went out and bought myself a New Jawbone Prime on eBay, saying I am happy with it is a understatement my previous Bluetooth headsets were a Blue ant Z1 and recently a Blackberry HS 500 that I returned to seller. None of my other headsets didn't even come close to this marvelous piece of technology

I just picked up a Q1 at Frys Electronics for $84.99. There is a newer firmware for the Q1 and I was curious if have tested the Q1 noise cancelation since the firmware upgrade?
Can you tell us what the firmware version of the Q1 you tested was? I think the newer firmware has better noise cancellation but not sure how it compares to the Prime.
So, is there any headset besides the Motorola HX1 that - when redialing last number - asks you if you would like to redial the last number on phone 1 or phone 2? "last number redial. press call button for phone 1, press either volume button and call button for phone 2". This feature should be included in all multi-point headsets.
the jawbone bluetooth hurts your ears, if you have a small ears because it has a little sharp edge at end of the earloop. right next to the charger.
The blueant q1 is so smooth that you dont even know you're wearing it. I would recommend blueant q1 blue tooth ever all of the JAwbones bluetooth. I personally think the noise canceling on the Blueant is much better then the jawbone too.
I also use the earloops from the jawbone to fit into the blueant q1--it fits perfectly. Those jawbone earloops you can also use it on the blueant--it's really nice. I use the "slim earloop" instead of the leather earloop, I like it so much.
The design of the BLueant q1 is so nice...way way better then the jawbone, if you put the two together the jawbone looks a like a joke. Now i have the perfect bluetooth. I try so many BT before, and the blueant q1 is the best in my opinion.
I Have all of the jawbones BT and I like the Second Jawbone way better then the JB prime, but to compare the JAwbone prime to the Blueant q1--the Blueant q1 is much MUch better, the sound quality is really clear, it has a nice tone to your ear then the Jawbones. However, the blueant dont fit my ear securely, I dont like the ears loop. I bought those earbuds for the headphone for like 5 bucks and use those ear bud and it fits perfectly to my ears, way better then the jawbones. ( Continue--->
Nice Review! Well i have so many BT devices and i own at the moment the plantronics discovery 975, I use it on my iphone 3gs and i must say but call quality it is the best so far (before that i had Blueant V1) i must say i really miss the voice control and the 975 comes w\o Ear hook, after while it very painful to keep it in one ear so i find myself switching between ears every now and then, i think i will get the Q1 and see how it will be.
if you have a BB phone, forget the 975 it doesn't work correctly with BB phone, I tried it with my BB Tour and with a BB curve, I even exchanged the 975 for another new one but same thing.
Dude it is your destiny to do reviews. Great job.

Very Nice review... thanks...
People dont actually wear the bluetooth devices during reviews, which makes it difficult to understand how big or small it is.
Your review was perfect. English was crystal clear.

What are the battery lives like?
Good comparison and very clearly stated differences.
Also what kind of USB port do the 2 have?
Cheers and thanks

You can turn the noise cancellation to MAX when in call on the Q1 if you're in a very noisy environment.
