For me Richard Waugh will always be the "true" Wesker, he was just awesome in CV, 4, Zero and Weskers Report! ♥

But Douglas did a fantastic job in RE5, he's a great Wesker, too.

And he improved so much from Umbrella Chronicles (in 5 he is so much better!)

At first I really thought it was Waugh in UC, they sound very similar at times ^^°

D.C Douglas I have to say is my favorite voice actor for Wesker. Every single line this man delivered as Resident Evil's coolest and greatest character was so memorable and cool. I'm still quoting all the RE 5 lines he said.

I don't care what Capcom says; you can hit him with two rocket launchers and throw him in a volcano, but you will never kill off the legacy this character left behind. He's absolutely legendary. Wesker rules!!!!

@TheJenner95 He toys with Chris because he's feeling so cocky at how Chris would never beat up Jill because she's his best friend and would use her to emotionally screw Chris up, but after Chris frees Jill and Chris meets Wesker at the jet, Wesker toys with Chris again, thinking he could beat him with the Birkin Virus inside him, but again, Chris beats him and levels the playing field, forcing Wesker to go all out at the end.

but he didnt need to go all out. even in the hanger he was just walking around. if he wanted to he would super speed all over the place trying to find them and end them within seconds. same in the plane, he could have killed sheva many times over and then moved on to kill chris

@TheJenner95 I think when Wesker was toying with Chris he wanted him to see Uroboros wipe out human civilization as we know it and then watch it kill Chris, Jill etc. When Chris made the plane crash, that made Wesker realise that if he wanted Chris to die, he'd have to do it himself.

Any true longtime RE fan will never forget Richard Waugh. He is still the best Wesker. He INVENTED Wesker's voice. DC Douglas just mimics Richard Waugh and IMO makes Wesker sound too 'happy'. Wesker was always a stone cold character behind the sunglasses which Richard Waugh was so good at portraying. I don't like it when newcomers to RE praise DC Douglas after playing only RE5 and I don't really like his smugness in this interview like he is THE Wesker. It's Richard Waugh that should be praised.

It's not like there's dramatic difference btw them but long time fans can detect it--no matter they've all added something to Wesker's character!

I like Wesker because he is an anti-hero that isn't really "evil". Alot of characters are evil simply because they want to be. Rather, Wesker sees things from a painfully biological point of view. He wants to conqueror the world so he can recreate it as he thinks it should exist. Sure, that's egotistic, but not evil. He believes the human race has overstepped its bounds and thrown off the balance of nature (which it arguably has done in the real world). Plus, he's just a badass. That helps.

Peter Jessop was good in the Remake and Richard Waugh absolutely rocked in Code Veronica and Zero. He made Wesker sound so cold, brutal and calculating. But really. D.C. Douglas took the character up a whole nother level.

That would've been nice, but you don't get to fight Wesker at all. He only appears briefly in like, two cutscenes, and you hear his voice in one part. Other than that, there's not a lot of Wesker in Darkside Chronicles, unfortunately.

I liked Richard Waugh back in the day when I had Code Veronica which is one of my top favorite RE titles. I enjoyed D.C. Douglas in RE5, and I'm curious to see how he'll handle Wesker in those Code Veronica chapters.
