There is no point, but if you happen to mention that fact to a player they'll start ranting at you about how they're "socializing" with all kinds of people and how you can apparently make money by doing stuff in the game. They will also tell you that it isn't a game, it's a "metaverse", which is just a word they made up so they could think they're better than people who play online videogames or MMORPG's.
