We had walked around the whole island looking for them, and by the time we got to that point we were near the beginning, I had given up and put the camera away.. so I missed a bit of the action!! In High Quality you get a nice glimpse of the tail, though... :) :) :D :D
It took us a couple of hours at slow pace, to walk around it! But half the island is closed off, as a nature reserve.. or something.. :) Don't know the exact size, but it's not overly big.. :)
My mother has one back in Sweden, that comes and eats all the fod she puts out for the birds.. but she doean't mind! I guess it needs to fatten itself up for winter, as the red squirrels hibernate.. which the greys don't, ot the best of my knowledge! Not that there's ANY grey... I saw no wild Bananas on Brownsea, but I kept looking for some.. :) squirrels at all in Swedemn.. :)
A bit shy he was.
Another vid of yours I had missed when you first posted, glad you attached to Nancys. :)

Cindy got some great footage of one last Summer. It's on her channel. I wonder if it's the same kind of squirrel...

I think Canada still have some RED squirrels, so yes, it could well be.. :)

I have only seen them in the north, though. The hardy little beasts seem to shy away from warmer and wetter climates...

I've seen several red squirrels in Walsall
in my rear garden.

He was a bit shy, wasn't he?
Beautiful footage of the serene forest area though.
