  • We lost our club too in Montreal due to our ''friend'' Bud Selig a.k.a. the ''Rat''. I hope he rots in hell!!!

  • They should make a movie about this. I recall listening to my first Yankee game vs Seattle. In my bedroom listening around 11:45 pm when the scoreboard operator got hit with a line drive and the game was delayed.Road games from Seattle were only presented on the Yankees radio network . No TV . I couldn't imagine what Sick Stadium looked like.Jarry Parc was also small capacity but tidier and symmetrical.Great stuff guys.

  • Bud is the worst I hope Prince goes anywhere but Back to Buds Team

  • Bud Selig...polluting MLB for over 40 years

  • @SD1Chargers I couldn't agree more. First he steals the Seattle Pilots from their fans and moves them to Milwaukee. Then he finagles it so the Milwaukee Brewers are moved from the A.L. to the N.L. Now he's trying to get baseball to put the Houston Astros in the A.L. West. As an Astros fan this stinks. Most road games will be on the west coast and starting at 10 p.m. here. Baseball needs to make him put his Brewers back in the A.L. instead of the Astros.

  • Selig's wanted to buy the White Sox and move them to Milwaukee, then Charlie Finley would move the A's to Chicago (where Finley lived). But Finley couldn't get out of his contract with the City of Oakland. And the AL wouldn't allow the White Sox to move without a replacement club. Meanwhile the Sorino brothers went bankrupt in Seattle. Nobody local was willing to buy the Pilots. A bankruptcy judge ORDERED the Sorianos to sell to Selig, after Selig guaranteed to pay off the club's debts.

  • @MegaObserver1 You are partially right. Selig did want to buy a White Sox franchise that was struggling at the gate in the late 60s until that deal fell through. However in 1975,the White Sox were in such dire straits financially, they were all but packed up and ready to move to Seattle for the 1976 season where the new Kingdome was waiting. At the same time,Charlie Finley would then move the A's out of Oakland to the South Side of Chicago.

  • What's the name of the song at the end?

  • "Bunting is like jacking off. Once you learn it, you never forget it." Joe Schultz from Jim Bouton's Ball Four.

  • Too bad they couldn't get the proposed stadium on Puget Sound built in the mid-60's. At the very least, they wouldn't have lost the Pilots, and they may have gotten a team earlier, like the A's.

  • what the fuck are all of you cowherds butt buddys !!!!

  • as far as business men go, Bud Selig is a genius. as far as seattle baseball goes they should build another Lowe's where the mariner's play now

  • I understand what you are saying, however this guy has to be held to a higher standard because of his position. You simply can't have someone who reports to the President running around speaking the way he does. I'm not making any excuses for Bush, he's not the President any longer. This guy is a drag on Obama and should resign.

  • Colin is the man! great call....
