  • Hey Uriah there is a video of you playing at the Phil Jones amp booth at the namm show L.A 2008, what kind of bass is that? It sounds amazing and even better since your playing it, but it doesn't look like a Fodera or anything I've seen. I was just wondering

  • Can anyone guess on the effects?

  • Man this has inspired me to work my own thing up. I'm thinking about Can you stand the rain by new edition. I should be done by 2015 :-) Funkbro is right. This is genius.

  • I am learning this for my university audition :)

    You are excellent!

  • one word - 'favorites'

  • Transcendent.

  • Woaaww...Parabéns...^^

  • ...this is TIGHT...!!! Wicked stuff.

  • Lovely, soulful. One of the very best of many, many covers. I wouldn't even call it a cover...

  • A clear example of bassist not getting appreciated enough... John Mayer played Human Nature at M.J.'s funeral, and it didnt even sound close to this awesomeness. And Mayer had i whole ensemble behind him.

  • he reminds me so much of myself, just he's like 34498x better

  • Hey, thats Keanu Reeves on the bass!!!

Its not fair! he control the matrix! thats why he plays so well!!!

  • Remarkable use of dynamics, it's tempting to play a song with such a good melody at a constant volume but the way how he has fluctuated it is fantastic

  • Absolutely wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

Too bad we won't be seeing you with Whitesnake anymore, but you do your thing. Follow your heart, follow your fingers and keep working your magic. Thanks for an unforgettable concert in Croatia, 2008. (You probably remember it by your excruciating back pain, haha)

    Cheers

  • It was actually written by Steve Pocaro of Toto fame and John Bettis lyric writer given to Quincy Jones as a rough draft on cassette with just music and the why why part and some da da da da parts then given to Bettis to write lyrics in two days ! Has been covered by Miles Davis ahn John Mayer to name a few.

  • Thanks- Yeah but It's the always Artist who's name is on the recording that gets the recognition. Believe me, I know from writing stuff on tons of sessions- and you only make as much money as you can negotiate. And there's no obligation to give a "work for hire" credit. And so it goes... Best solution? Become the Artist.

  • Hah! Well said.

  • and.....YOUR RIGHT Uriah!

  • @udawggy No Miiles Covered it as well as Time after time and other pop tunes of that era.
