Hey Uriah there is a video of you playing at the Phil Jones amp booth at the namm show L.A 2008, what kind of bass is that? It sounds amazing and even better since your playing it, but it doesn't look like a Fodera or anything I've seen. I was just wondering
Man this has inspired me to work my own thing up. I'm thinking about Can you stand the rain by new edition. I should be done by 2015 :-) Funkbro is right. This is genius.
A clear example of bassist not getting appreciated enough... John Mayer played Human Nature at M.J.'s funeral, and it didnt even sound close to this awesomeness. And Mayer had i whole ensemble behind him.
Remarkable use of dynamics, it's tempting to play a song with such a good melody at a constant volume but the way how he has fluctuated it is fantastic
Too bad we won't be seeing you with Whitesnake anymore, but you do your thing. Follow your heart, follow your fingers and keep working your magic. Thanks for an unforgettable concert in Croatia, 2008. (You probably remember it by your excruciating back pain, haha)
That was a real 'why the fuck do I bother' moment! My basses are on the rubbish tip, with petrol about to go on. God dyaaam! as one youTubee rightly put it.
Man, that was effin beautiful. You're an amazing player. Is there a chance you could post a music sheet of this beauty on your site? That would be awesome :)))
Is that a Darryl Jones model? Great sounding basses. You can hear the fret noise at that low volume. That's the only thing about that guitar that buggs me.
your playing da shiot outta thank Lakland dude!@Uriah!!! your 1 of thee most fUnKiEsT bad ass bassist's in the industry, AND U K.N.O.W. that!!!!!!~ 1 Luv!
It was actually written by Steve Pocaro of Toto fame and John Bettis lyric writer given to Quincy Jones as a rough draft on cassette with just music and the why why part and some da da da da parts then given to Bettis to write lyrics in two days ! Has been covered by Miles Davis ahn John Mayer to name a few.
Thanks- Yeah but It's the always Artist who's name is on the recording that gets the recognition. Believe me, I know from writing stuff on tons of sessions- and you only make as much money as you can negotiate. And there's no obligation to give a "work for hire" credit. And so it goes... Best solution? Become the Artist.
