nobody knows the work a cop or fireman does. all of the salary, pension, and benefits are negotiated through the municipalities. so nobody stole anything. it was agreed upon. and yes i think i deserve a healthy pension for a job where i may be injured, develop cancer or sickness or killed in the line of duty. as for greenhut, he seems like a typical jew. just looking at the $

@MagnusIan Don't make such a sweeping statement, PE took the jobs offered with all the beenies with no knowlegde of how it was being done. They were told and believed that the money was there in the union ect, ect.

The leeching fucks are now the ones that know the truth but don't care. They refuse to take a cut in anything whatsover. They only want what they think is theirs wether there's money for it or not. It's an intitlement to these self absorbed scums! But not all now, many do get it!

A government that gets smaller when the economy gets smaller would be a good start. We have a situation in DC where the federal government gets bigger while the economy is shrinking. Many are unionized and are forced to pay dues to politicians who perpetuate an unsutainable system.

It's all true. I've heard stories about state employees. Many are completely incompetent, yet it is impossible to fire them and if you want to get rid of them, they're simply sent to a different department within the state.

Greenhut's book "Plunder!.." is a great read that demonstrates that the natural course of government is to grow and steal from the taxpayers. His writings on California's problems makes one both angry and anxious to see its downfall - a justifiable schadenfreude. More importantly "Plunder!' alerts the rest of us to our possible futures - after all, California leads the nation :0
