well as i've said before i really like shinedown but he was a little off key here but like so many others its hard to hit those notes when u dont have all the affects live as u do in the studio but still very good.

BUT!! as a singer he is nothing. if he took lessons he would have become one of the best singers beacause he would combine colour and technique. very few people have both. with all that money he has he could have the best teachers. you say he sounds like the video. if you listen to what a shame (which was definitely played later than that in the same concert) you will see that he sings and octave down... in the cd he's fake.... to be fair brent smith's singing seems to have gone fairly downhill since they hit the mainstream. check the older vids and see what i mean. its a shame, so many bands do this, hit the big time and its all downhill from there

@khjr1 They tour so much. They never stop. his voice is stressed to the over max! Bands make most of their money touring these days. Maybe a little time off could help because I have seen Brent hit every note live. They are a great band and they write great music.

They sound good live, but that intro was a little bit too long, I guess he was working the crowd. I haven't heard a shinedown song that I haven't liked. If they don't sound as perfect as on the official recording, then that only proves they aren't lip synching like some people do live.
