You can tell the dogs loves this mine makes a crazy sound too when he is on the spring pole only he sounds more like a vacuum but this breed loves jumping, running and pulling they just love to play last time I checked a owner had the right to clip a dogs tail and ears my dog has his tail & his ears that is my choice so why don't all you idiots that seem to nothing about this STFU!!!!
what's there to know? he is the guardian of another living being and he cuts off its ears and tail. that's like you being in someone's care and them deciding: "oh, i know, let's cut CarlyFan's ear lobes off and one of his fingers."
do you see how it is wrong? or do you still think it's ok, just because hypocritical "laws" say that people are allowed to do it?
HAHAHAH Gorgeus dog and clealry having time of his life :)
IfI only knew about this when my GSD was allive, he was CRAZY at this type of stuff :D, he loved to carry trees weighing more than him, I'm sure he would have done this untill he passed out haha. Love your dog and don't give a shit about the haters.
thats a really nice dog!!! Alot of drive! I though he was an American bulldog but you can clearly tell he is a Pittbull when he hits the ground (i love the bully breeds).... Dont listen to the comments about the tail issue, he looks perfectly fine.
The thing about getting a tail clipped is that it reduces your chances of knowing the mood your dog is in. If the tail is wagging its obvious he's happy. If its straight and still then he's not happy. There's no reason to remove a tail unless you cant deal with a dog knocking stuff over with it or hitting you with it occasionally, and in that case you shouldnt have a dog anyway! Nice pit tho he swings ill on it.
better to have it so his feet r still touching the ground this way it works his whole body when the feet r off the ground it only works the neck and jaw..
@dazco2020 Well you could say it's getting a good work out, and will be relatively tired when it's done...just a suggestion, but i agree, it does look a pointless action, but I'm sure it benefits the dog.
you have to work his prey drive. when he grabs whatever you work him on steadily build the height of the item until he is in the air. only work him for short periods of time. so he want's to play with it
hey, just a helpful hint: when you have your dog on a pole, steady his body, and have him work the ----- (whatever you have him gripping) . if you keep his body from swinging, when he shakes, it will be with his head and neck only. this technique will greatly increase his jaw power, and work wonders with his neck strength. great looking dog.
I already posted another comment answering that question.
ctually me and my dad never planned to clip his tail. My mom wanted it clipped ( idk why ). She was the one to drop him off at the vet to get his ears clipped while i was at school and my dad was at work. So she over ruled our vote and got his tail clipped. It still kinda makes me mad
there is nothing wrong with this. you ppl are just narrow minded and think just cause its a pit doing it, it must be bad. my amer. bulldog does this all the time. it tires him out and he stops running around bugging people.
This is a good way to give your dog some exercise. Some dogs really like it, and it does not train them to attack people. They are just attacking a rope, like most dogs will.

Haha! That's awesome! Question though: It seems pretty normal for these types of dogs to do this "springpole" thing, but is there any danger to the dog's back? Dogs (obviously depends on breed) already have a pretty weak spine, and it just seems like the swinging around like that could break his spine if somehow one of his legs caught the ground with all that momentum. Not raggin on you or nothin, I love pits, buddy of mine raised a few and they are awesome dogs.
Sweet dog man!!! I am just amazed at their locking jaws even today. He doesn't even have to bite on that thing after he gets a grip, its just like a vice grip!!!
The sound he is making is just him having fun, like a grunting noise from the excercise of it mixed with the twisting force on his body.
ummmm.....never own a pitbull much? You fail at life, go kill yourself plz. The dog enjoys doing this. Plus its excellent exercise for him. Every time i let him out in my backyard to go to the bathroom he goes and then immediately runs over to the spring pole. As for the crazy sound he makes idk i guess thats just his thing. It doesnt hurt him and how would that be traininig him to fight?

Yeah, I know how you feel, my father took my boy to the vet while i was at school and got him neutered.
Only good thing about cut tail is you don't have to worry about him breaking it if he falls off that springpole.
