@WaacFilms U can still run a windows partition on it, using bootcamp with all drivers for windows. Everything is available Office, MSN, skype etc. The newer iMac's are really nice. So yes, get one

They made touchscreen smartphones popular with the iPhone. And they made tablets popular with the iPad. They weren't the first to invent these technologies, but they were the first to make them popular

@maullster Agreed :) the saw GUI at xerox PARC , they refined it. 1985-1997 were bad times though , once Steve joined , everything changed. In May 1998 , he unveiled the iMac , designed by Jony Ive. It was a hit consumer electronic. iPod and iMac were the saviours of the extraordinary multitouch technolgy and unibody enclosures. The 'i' is Apple itself :)

perhaps even a three in one, as there are many professional photographers with CF cameras that buy macs for photo editing...

(High end cameras still use CF cause of their higher speed, low latency, and data safety (SD suffer a lot from flash wear)).

Because all macs have OSX and saying mac is shorter that OS X and all PC's have Windows OS. Hardware is hardware. RAM is RAM, but the fact that a 13 inch macbook pro can have 8 gb of ram is impressive. Hardware is objective. Software is subjective. You can quantify where one computer has better hardware, and there fore there isn't really a debate. But the quality of software is determined by the use and is a matter of opinion. Your points say the same thing. All and only macs have mac OS

Still when making public advertisements and declarations you are under responsibility, and you should be accurate, a PC can have IBM OS, Linux OS, Unix OS, Windows OS, and Mac OS recently (maybe others too), so its not just windows that is associated with PC, if u think that 8GB of ram is impressive in a notbook, then look @ toshiba laptops with dual 9800 GTS graphics cards and intel core to extreme processer, not just intel core to due procsser like the ones in Macpro highest settings profile.

Although Mac are also x86 boxes now, most of the legacy brought from the IBM pc has being broken in this architeture.

Macs dont have a Keyboard controller compatible circuity, a legacy mode RTC, floppy controller, also their PIC operates just in apic mode, try running a system like DOS or W98 in this machine, have of the functions won't work.

And also apple ported their SMC to the platform, which provides greater bonding and extra features.

As example, my macbook, when the battery ends up to the point of not wakeing the system any longer, I dont lost my tasks, cause the system some how saved the state, and even with the battery empty, when I get home and connect to the chager the system starts from when it has stoped.

Yeah i agree with you on some of that, Mac works great because the hardware and software are built for eachother, and like i said before, i do like Mac OSX, just not a fan of its hardware, its like if mac was a japanese perfect car that never breaks up and consume less fuel compared to an american muscle car that needs alot of maintenance, i'd still pick the muscle car for the customizing possibilities i can do with it and for its more powerful. One last thing, Mac notebooks are overpriced.

You void warranty if you open most macs. apple designed them not to be tinkered with. That discourages more serious computer users and is just rubbish imho. I'm not interested in macs. and an ide is an ide; xcode was decent, but there are others.
