I do not mean to cause argument, it is that when I hear these words I feel he becomes like a super hero instead of the friend that he can be. Indeed the very friend that he must be. Is that not who we listen to when we make decisions, our friends? I want to live as Christ did. I believe that is as much a reason for his being as was his death and if he had not lived as we all must strive to copy his atonement would not have been valid. He is my EVERYTHING, I will seek to protect my witness of him

I am grateful to see and hear this video. This very concept has been bearing on my mind heavily lately. My heart knows I am comparing apples to oranges but this concept threatens to steal the testimony of what I know of my Redeemer. If he is not one whom I may become like then what is the purpose of this existence....no, I do not have his calling or mission, but I have my own unique mission that God sent me to perform...if I cannot follow my Savior & follow him in all things how do I have hope?!

Thanks Seth, Neal is amazing,and how well he knew the Savior. How good to reminded that He who has suffered all, is best to succor us. When we are wounded, quietly in our sorrows, it is He that is there wrap us in the arms of his love, to lift us up, bear our burdens with us, lend His mercy and heal us with His love. I know that in our darkest hours HE is there and we are never forsaken! I Love my Savior. Bless you for your good works, and ways of testifying to the world!

Neal A Maxwell is Jeffery R. Holland's inspiration of his talks and you can see how and why. :) He was a special witness who spoke of truth. I know he speaks true words of Christ. Anyone who denies elsewhere did not watch this video out of spite or fear.

Beautiful! Congratulations for being featured on Meridian - well deserved. I miss Neal A. Maxwell. His amazing depth of thought, his command of the english language [a true wordsmith], and his sincere testimony made every one of his talks a poetic masterpiece. I imagine that listening to Elder Maxwell teach us is quite similar to those who sat at the Master's feet and listened to His parables. Elder Maxwell was, and is, a true apostle of Jesus Christ. May we all strive to be as devoted.

Though I am a non-LDS Christian, it is still totally amazing that Jesus is God and is ominiscient yet is humble a calls us His friends. Excellent words by Mr. Maxwell. One of his relatives was a missionary who talked with me about LDS at the DC Temple Visitors Center.

Aah this is beautiful...My parents are in Israel and Jerusalem right now seeing all these sights. I can't wait until they get home to talk about their experiences and teach my kids the spirit they felt in the land our loving Savior walked, taught and loved all.
