  • You do not need to see the accompianist.... They need to see because a decent pianist is able to follow your body language by looking at you out of the corner of their eye. If you breath out of tempo they will still be able to stay with you and match your pace.Where to put the music stand...It should be where you are comfortable and out of the way of the audience. The pianist will be fine, they are paid and practiced the music. If you did too you should be able to play together in seperate rooms
