Fabio (check him out on Youtube) is probably the best male model ever even if was a bit cheesy. I also think male models suffer compared to some top male actors. Brad Kroenig is a handsome guy but he's not Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise looking. The industry needs to find someone more like those guys, perhaps? Imagine a six foot guy that looked like Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt. I'm sure he'd push the male model envelope. :) A lot of male models tend to be really skinny and pale too.

@tubeman123100 I do know of fabio, and he was one of the top male models, as well as Tyson. The thing with male modelling is the angularity of the face. The model needs to look skinny, angular, etc because pictures are 2-D which makes everything look flat and without dimension. Thats why cheekbones are enhanced with makeup so that they pop out in a picture. Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt do possess some good qualities, but unfortunately they took the actor route, which pays a lot more.

... anyway, times have changed since this clip, right now is the rise of asian supermodels. there are so many flooding into the scene, esp chinese and korean girls. unfortunately progress is a lot slower on the men's front (there has not been one since philip huang, and even he never really had much luck) but the fashion world is definitely becoming more rainbow-coloured, which is excellent. long may it continue in that direction

2)flawless skin

3)full head of hair! (no receding hairline)

4)excellent bone structure(you're either born with it or you aren't"

5)toned slender physique. not overly muscular and bulky

7)great eyes always helps

remember that different models have different places in high fashion. Prada might want a pale, waif, boyish looking model, while D&G might want tall, dark, and handsome with some muscle, etc.

@roflmaogg Yes. If they are larger moles that aren't flat, you can always get them removed...if they are smaller, flat, and look more like freckles, then thats fine. There are plenty of male models with moles/freckles...and nowadays many of them have multiple tattoos. They can always just airbrush them or use make up to cover them. Remember though, you can have all those things...but it's how they come together to create a certain look that matters. It's not necessarily a "checklist" process.
