  • moby should buy some new equipment considering he would be wealthy ?

  • butt you get cancerr from microwaves... radiation, bro. And the non-stick pans are horrible for your health if the non-stick part gets rubbed off and if you heat them at a very high temperature because of the fumes that they release.. A lot of that needs to be learned, Moby. I still love him thoughhh. I have him as my desktop wallpaper. ^^

  • does moby eat with porcelain plates?

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • wow what a loser

  • the mobi get-your-child-beaten-up bags are awesome

  • of blood , all this from cholesterol plaque causing clots in ur arteries

  • I'm not vegan or a vegetarian but I've got tons of respect for Moby. Not only because he's a great musician but also because he's a down-to-earth person.

  • Teflon evolves several fluorocarbon gases . Animal studies indicate that it is unlikely this product would be generated in amounts significant to health at temperatures below 482 °F,although birds are proven to be much more sensitive to these decomposition products. It is stable and nontoxic, it begins to deteriorate after the temperature of cookware reaches about 500 °F, and decomposes above 662 °F. These degradation byproducts can be lethal to birds, and can cause flu-like symptoms in humans

  • i wish he had a cooking show or somethin

  • @tapa4ik I know--Moby would save the world if he had his own cooking show! :)

  • i would like to see his studio not his kitchen!!!!!!!!!

  • teflon is poisonous. no good being a vegan if you are eating synthetic poison with it. use iron or stainless steel pans, or glass/ceramic. :)

  • I wonder what does a vegan like Moby puts in his mexican burritos, Im mexican and I have never seen a burrito without meat LOL I guess some fried vegtables or soy could do the trick anyway

  • @blezka You're mexican and you have never seen a meatless burrito? I ate bean and rice burritos even before I became Vegan. Anyway there are many delicious meat analogs, here are some options: Seitan asado, Seitan salteado, Tempeh, Tempeh al pastor, fried hard tofu con limon, soycoda, ground soy meat with jalapeño, chopped gardenia meat, roasted wheat gluten, Vegitas No-Meata Fajitas and many more.

  • @truth2748 I guess the idea you have about a mexican "burrito" its really different from the real one but anyway those are some insteresting food options I'll try to eat them

  • @blezka You should, its healthy for you and the planet, and no sentient animal has to die to satisfy your palette, everyone wins;-)

  • @truth2748 too bad none of that exists in mexico so sometimes is hard to be veggi.

  • Comment removed

  • Does he have AIDS?

  • @orrca2112 nope, this actually how healthy people are suppose to look like when they are not overweigh or obese like the rest of America.

  • @truth2748 I know he isn't "overweigh", but he looks like a satchel-taster with

    butt-rot

  • A plastic spoon...

  • Just when I think I can't love moby anymore, he says something about a certain cooking pot being pleasing to the eye (and knowing he only cooks vegan goodness in it) I melt all over again.

  • @whiiitn3yy :D :D So true. :-)

  • @whiiitn3yy You're an idiot, and a failure as a human being. Good luck with that B-12 deficiency. My knowledge of health is infinitely greater than yours.

  • @Ganzant you can get b- 12 from hemp milk , and wheat grass

  • @whiiitn3yy Arteries don't get clogged from meat, that is pure bullshit.

  • @thespecter2 well when you get a yellowish fatty substance plaque building up in your inner walls of an artery that causes blocks a clog for your blood to flow properly to your body cells to carry oxeygyn and nutrients to, and that yellowish plaque is cholesterol+lipids which we also naturaully have in our body and our body needs it especially "for example our liver uses cholesterol to make bile " but when you are consuming too much cholesteral it builds up in ur arteries, and meat is known to

  • @thespecter2 and meat is known to be richer in cholesterol then other foods. so atherosclerosis does cause arteriosclerosis . Look it up . if you have clogged arteries you can cause blood to back flow and I think its the right side of your heart that starts pumping harder and causes these cells to grow "hypertrophy" you get an enlarged side of your heart until it completely fails and stops pumping , and you can get other disorders like pulmonary edema , Swelling in you lungs due to the backflow

  • @pearlmermaid1 Right, if you eat meat sparingly there is no associated risk. Eating only fruits and vegetables can screw with your insulin and your blood triglyceride level. A friend of mine accompanied around a 70 percent fruit basis into his diet and became pre diabetic and insulin resistant. Point is, there is no one answer for everyone. We all have biochemical diversity. Coexist.

  • @thespecter2 yeah if u eat it sparingly then ur fine , But you have to admit people eat larger portions of meat then needed

  • @pearlmermaid1 Right, the whole meat industry is absolutely fucked up. I don't get meat from the packing and meat industry because I don't give money to the means in which they treat animals. It isn't only the way they treat them, it is the sick conditions they are in and the fact humans are ingesting these sick animals. I eat a low meat VERY low grain diet. Works for me. What may work for me may not work for others.

  • @whiiitn3yy

you could almost call it fascism. hating people because they are different or have different opinions.

  • Microwaves preserve nutrients. Now I've heard it all. Go eat some meat, Mr. Gay

  • @Ganzant hes not gay at all.... wow i hate people who get thier facts wrong

  • @paddyroche2 You're gay too

  • @Ganzant Fuck you, Dick why are you watching the video then do you have a "thing" for him?!

  • Vegan's are great. They serve a useful purpose. Gives all of us sensible people something to laugh at and point at...

  • @ihaveairlockers

yet you cannot do harm to them, because you might get flipped over, or thrown in jail

  • @00rpc

    Nah.... :o)

We just poke fun at them and it gives us something to talk about when we are enjoying having a BBQ and a few pints of the golden throat charmer.

  • being a vegan is ace -

...i tend to 'say each to their own, without harming the rest ' (not needlessly at least), though that doesn't strictly apply with eating meat+dairy etc as, except in extreme conditions, it is needlessly harming so many of 'the rest' - the environment (+so humans too), and of course the animals involved too (the torture and killing of the babies, and mothers who given birth to have their kid taken away to be killed-

.. course vegans wish for better for them and us...

  • man, has he not heard of the alleged dangerous of microwaves.....logically as microwaves obviously use dangerous microwaves to heat the food there is a chance that there could be truth in this allegation.....

....of course eating raw food would save more energy...and can save time, and keep nutrients.... or using electric run by wind or solar or similar! and steaming also saves nutrients....

  • It's so easy to stir up vegans and veges.

I love getting a rise out of them !

They get so mad and rude so quickly !

    It's just harmless fun :o)

  • i agree with what you're saying, and i'm a vegetarian myself! like you, i can't stand the patronising, 'holier-than-thou' type of vegetarian who thinks they are a better person than someone who eats meat. my opinion is that people should make their own choices, and respect other peoples choices. most of my friends eat meat, and i would NEVER try to convince them to stop eating meat. the two most annoying pains in the ass-people are evangelical christians and evangelical vegetarians...

  • They're not working on oil platforms because they're smart enough to do other jobs.

And by the way, I'm heterosexual and go fuck yourself.

  • I would expect a comment such as that from the likes of you.

Being vegan is insane and unhealthy.

It's pretty simple. Go ask a nutritionist who has a degree from a University or a real medical doctor or scientist. They will all tell you that being vegan is dangerous and unhealthy.

I guess you don't work outdoors in minus 30C do you ?

There is a reason that the whole world is not vegan. It has nothing to do with education.

You won't ever convince me or the world matey !

  • My doctor is also a nutritionist, and is only happy thet I'm veg. saying it's a very healthy decision.

I'm not gay either but then I guess your assuption of only gays being vegan was restricted to men, huh? There are some vegy good, heterosexual veggie athletes out there that could show you a thing or two about veggie strengh!

Again, my nutritionist/doctor and my family doctor both agree with my being veggie.

That said, both omnivores and vegans should be allowed to make their own choices!

  • I totally understand why you dont get it. Because you obviously believe that the world was put here for human beings to do anything and everything they want to.

But if you think about the world as a place where all beings can survive because of all of the wonderful things that the earth provides for us, you realize why alot of people think this is the way to go.

    P.s. your a fucking bigot.

  • I agree. It's mostly gays or metrosexuals who subscribe to this diet.

  • Comment removed

  • All the "manly" things you named are inherently unsustainable human activities.

If liking the idea of being sustainable makes me "gay", then I guess I'm gay.

  • Only the most privileged people on Earth can spend so much time analysing their every act of consumption to this degree. Ha ha, and pat themselves on the back in the process. Sheeesh.

p.s. where can I get some ethically sourced free-range kumquats for my cat?

  • Your argument is fallible.

There is no reason to stop being analytical if you are privileged.

  • There's no need to be so reasonable!

"Your argument is fallible." ha ha, very funny Spock.

Here's what you could have written -

"Hey douchebag! you're only playa hatin' coz Moby's worth gazzilions and has vegan bitches all on his jock - whilst you live in your moms basement eating Jack in the Box three times a day you planet wreckin' faggot"

    See? not difficult.

  • I agree. microwave birritos>oven burritos when drunk/hungover.

Unless the microwave is going to kill me within the next 5 meals, I'm not getting rid of mine. Especially if I'm on the go. I can't wait for an oven to preheat.

  • Keep the microwave - lose the bottled water.

  • get rid of microwave!

  • oh moby - microwave is defently uncool -

  • @yogipunk1 actualy they save power/energy by reheating instead of heating hole oven

  • This is a link...just put the youtube website address in front of this

    watch?v=tIQl-61B04g

  • Oh Geeze. I just re-watched this video. I'd be surprised if he wasn't on the "American Microwave Council." He totally lies about microwaving preserving the nutrients in your food. This is absolutely false, microwaves destroy the nutrients and create many other carcinogenic substances in the process.

This might as well be a commercial for the microwave. Brutal

  • A typical enameled pot is made of steel, not aluminum.

  • Moby, you totally right about ingesting that non-stick surface being bad, bad, bad. Stick wit the enamal, see it's been around for ever and it's probably not causing nerve damage.

  • Nonsense...microwaves super heat food and kills all of the vital enzymes which are necessary for proper digestion. If natural enzymes are not in food they must be manufactured in the body and this uses up the enzyme reserve and also increases the amount of energy required to digest the food hence creating an energy deficit.

Microwaves are bad, bad, bad...get rid of yours today...or just use it for storage

  • You dumm fuck Im a respiratory therapist hence I know more about your body than you do and no matter how many enzymes you swallo it dosent matter because your stomach acid HCL kills any enzymes long before they reach your small intestine where they are absorbed and yes I need spell check lol.

  • Microwaves have been proven to destroy the cellular structure of food. Plants watered with microwaved water have died in experiments.

Anyways, why are you so angry. Here is a book I would recommend reading because it is obvious your identity comes largely from your job.

A New Earth - Eckhart Tolle

I'm not looking for a response here just trying to help

  • For all those who say microwaves will kill you because of radiation, the microwave is between the infared wave (heat) and the radio wave(used to transports radio and tv signals) on the electromagnetic spectrum. If infared waves(heat like from the stove) don't give you cancer why should microwaves. The higher the frequency of an electromagnetic wave the more potential for radiation poisoning. Microwaves are low frequency and are not anywhere near uv rays(from the sun ) or xrays

  • Good point about the microwave. If you are afraid of microwave ovens you might as well be afraid of the color red, its more "harmful".

  • that enameled pot he had looked like it was in pretty good condition after being used for years. I've never known any one who uses one. Dose the enamel also have some non-stick properties or is it almost the same as steel

  • i <3 you moby.

  • lol i use microwave all the time

  • When my microwave broke, I used the opportunity to go without it for a while (which turned into one year). At first I thought that the microwave was just more convenient, but not so important to have. I found a great one on sale and once I started using it more and more-I realized my energy bill dropped by at least $10 on average per month.

  • he's so quirky. love people like that. (:

  • I heart microwaves

  • At least this guy is doing something-the rest of us just talk. Hurrah! I love these-love to see how other people live. Good Job! very good.

  • He's so simple... =O

  • Well he's a human, what do you expect him to be ^^ lol.

He's not trying to consume the rest of the world and live in excess.

    I still think he's pretty extraordinary :-)

  • yeah but radiated food is not good for you in the first place....microwaves are banned in russia since 1976....

  • Are you crazy?

I live in Russia and use microwave.

  • look up on google "russia ban microwaves in 1976" and see what i'm on about...

  • @kinakona A lot of things are banned in Russia.

  • @kinakona there are no countries that have microwaves banned! from what I remember reading I think they outlawed it so-to-speak temporarily in russia for a little while but after that it was lifted!

  • @kinakona just because microwaves were banned that doesnt mean they still are or that microwaved food is "not good for you" we have had microwave ovens for over 40 years where are the studies saying they are harmful?

  • @rougebopper They are harmful. It`s obvious, man) And there are studies (at least in Russia) about its harmful effect.

  • The ultimate remedy for a hangover. BURRITOS!!!!

  • Not true i own a raw food book and there is some of the most delicious food in that thing, and almond milk, yum.

  • Raw food is the healthiest.

  • yeah but not always the tastiest

  • Microwaves work by charging up water molecules in the food so they ping around and create heat. Is fucking with the chemistry of the food you ingest a good idea? Prolly not.

  • they actually are fantastic, for that reason, for steaming frozen vegetables... I teach advanced nutrition for nursing and physical therapy students, and especially with many of them having families, with the Green Giant steamer packs, etc, this gets nourishment in them ...

Do you think fast food is a better option? How many McD's do you see... now how about co-ops, Earth Fares, PCCs, and (I know, I know) Whole Foods? Plus, economy where it is... those $2 sides are a viable option (Fresh=$6)

  • Damn, I have a nicer kitchen than Moby. And cooking on too high of a heat setting can cause Teflon to erode faster.

  • moby cuando preparas falafel? eso es vegano

  • Teflon degrades from heat, oils and the particles in food scratching it.

Microwave does not preserve nutrients, Moby needs skooling here.

Radar popcorn- Paper bag, put just enough popcorn to cover bottom. Fold top of bag twice, lay on side in radar range. 3-3.5 min

Don't need oil. Microwaves pops corn from the inside out. Un-popped kernels can get another zap, they'll come out extra crispy...mmmmmmm!

Humid area- pre nuke bag 20-30 sec. Small paper bags only! large will catch on fire.

  • Considering I've been teaching (from constantly updated resources with the best research textbooks out there) nutritional sciences for a few years now... I'd say he got his "skooling" and a lot of his viewers are still buying the marketing hype about m-waves... yes, they were concerned in the 80s (units were also averaging 2-3xs the wattage output!)... but they've tested over and over. Ever consider who so much of that marketing came from? Corn and Soy oil producers do not love frozen veggies.

  • i love Moby's Porcelain =)

  • eat yrself fitter!

  • the teflon layer disappears if you wash it with soap

  • No it doesn't

  • no seriously, it totally does.

  • No it doesn't. You know that black coating inside the pan that causes it to be "non-stick"? that's Teflon, idk what kind of cheep pans your using but mine don't loose the whole layer the first time I wash them. lol

  • if you use a pot scrubber on a teflon pan the teflon will be scraped off. Maybe thats what you mean by "teflon dissappears if you wash it with soap". There should be no scrubbing with teflon pans!

  • A few things:

As soon as the teflon is coming off your pans, replace them at once. It is very unhealthy indeed.

The white enamel pot is getting used all the time? It is sparkling white whilst having been in the family forever? What's your secret?

Microwaves are very nice, but doesn't it do something with the cell structure in food? I have read microwaved food can be traced in the body, hours after eating it because of the radiation. My ex (a vegetarian) didn't want one in the house!

  • im pretty sure microwaves dont have alot to do with radiation

all they do (to my knowledge) is emit microwaves at a certain frequency which makes water molecules vibrate, creating friction and heat

please dont attack me if this is wrong

  • Electric grills emit radiation too (mainly infrared radiation).

  • Teflon ingestion causes testicular cancer, enjoy!

  • Moby's the man. His music rocks, and he is probably too busy making new music to give a hoot what his kitchen looks like. He's so down to earth, so many Stars are stuck up and buy mansions and dozens of cars. Moby is way too down to earth to care about such material possessions. I think I see a book he's reading near the microwave. He's so normal, it's a breath of fresh air.

  • Yeah he probably cooks the ecstasy and speed in the barthroom.

  • I like that moby is so simple despite being a celeb.

  • Who is Moby? LawL.....

  • this video has got to be some sort of avant-garde comedy. "then i realized that microwave ovens are FANTASTIC!" come on moby!

  • How to reheat a tofurkey...

reaches new heights in self-centered boredom

  • How to reheat a tofurke...y

  • Keep it real, yo hahahahahahah

  • Hey has a Homer Simpson bottle opener and a million dollars but has shitty pots and pans? I hate that.

    Lord.

    And plastic spoons? Continuity please!

  • this is a very interesting video, so I'll give it 7 out of 10.

  • his song Extreme Ways is awesome

  • By the way, I love that Moby is vegan :) It's the only way to go!

  • he's vegan and he do Methane

  • Hey, wait. I've heard from a person with a Master's in Nutrition that microwaves kill the nutrients. I've also read this in nutrition books. What's the real story?

  • well cooking on a stove too can kill nutrients... if cooked beyond a certain temp. of the specific vegetables.

  • I teach nurses, physical therapists, etc. on their way to their masters degrees in various health sciences (Advanced Nutrition is my fave class aside from mental health ones)... be sensible about what temperature they get to. Soft leafy greens need no cooking and should get minimal, but carrots are more easily digested when cooked until tender (true baby carrots=best; smaller=better for most produce). Microwaves are one of the better ways for cooking vegetables if you "steam" them on med. heat.

  • lol thx for the hangover tip Moby, although I won't be eating greasy Mexican food for my hangovers. Cool video thanks!

  • cool vid00 sweet :)

  • This guy doesn't cook !

  • How do U KNOW! :P

  • He's a vegan, thus he doesn't need, nor want to actually "cook" much of his food. The less food is cooked, the better/healthier it is because the more nutrients and enzymes are left in it. But, he "cooks" rice, etc. Keep up the great, healthy and earth friendly example, Moby!! You look great & are one of the best role models out there, as far as showing people that it is possible to live the vegan lifestyle & be healthy & very productive!! Moby's good karma is displayed/felt in his music!

  • Raw vegan diets are high in fiber, but cooking actually makes the nutrients more available for ingestion by nearly all humans. We aren't horses--things like carrots and other roots, along with gourds (eggplant, zucchini, etc) are more nutritious when cooked... NOT boiled, not fried to a pulp... just cooked at least to release some of the fibers that are bound to their (slightly more) important macro and micronutrients. It isn't true with soft leafy greens, but MOST humans need veges cooked

  • You're right, cooking, well, actually steaming veggies on the stove, using water (of course), is a better/more ideal way of ingesting/breaking down the nutrients (just enough so we can absorb them, not to damage or distroy them) from some organic veggies, like the ones you noted-roots, gourds and the like. But I wouldn't use a microwave oven for anything. ... just not natural...or "in-synch" w/ nature, imo.

  • Teflon causes cancer i think they just released some results about 4 months ago

  • we're to believe this is his actual kitchen?

  • That is his kitchen, just google his mtv cribs episode. He lives in NYC, space is tight.

  • exactly......and although his place may be relatively small by some people's standards, to have the top floor, sky lights and access to the roof.... that's PRIME real estate in NYC!! It's amazing what he can produce w/ his, again, relatively small studio in that apartment. GO Moby! <3

  • everyone knows Moby's real kitchen is located deep under the earth's crust in an underground cavern. don't let them pull the wool over your eyes, teflonmagnet

  • i knew it...thanks for confirming a suspicion i've been harboring lo these many years, kevinl. my first choice was deep under your anal polyps.

again, a million thanks to kevinl., moby's scullery and buttboy.
