  • hi, im beelove67@yahoo.com n facebook i really enjoy listening to the oldes but goodies god gave us the ability to be able to produce such beatiful music.

  • I was a little boy crying to this song. The lyrics was strong.....

  • the female singer in history............

  • ps zeniquez words to lyrics wrong how could you sabotage a classic update immediately one looks so foolish when words are wrong

  • My fave female singer of all times and i saw her at hammersmith odeon now appollo feb 86 and she tore the house down.Glad i saw her best vocal performance ever in history nuff said. Please Regina come back to the uk and show all those that missed you in 86 what they missed

  • Real Nice.

  • she's a national treasure...in my humble opinion....

  • I remember when I was little around the age of five or six and I used to listen to this song with my mom and immediately start crying asking her to play it again.

Now, I’m sixteen and even now when I listen to this song I still cry.

  • Nice song. My favorite Regina Belle Song.

  • EVER FELT LIKE THIS, I HAVE !

  • Just what may seem like an anal point on the lyrics;

Verse1-Line3 should read - "Now it seems a myth that never exists at all

Verse1-Line5 should read - "With this hollow core"

Verse2-Line2 should read - "Asking you to supply all my brother's needs" Bridge-Line3 should read - "Just the thought of living without your love"

  • @MsWu2008 I though it was "With this hollow call."

  • @Lalaladi01 It is "hollow core". She sings "leave me feeling empty" in the line before.

  • @MsWu2008 Oh!! I love this song so I want to sing it right!! Thanks!!

  • @Lalaladi01 I don't know whether it does this to you but it brings a tear to my eye. Regina just has one of those voices - A Whole New World?

  • @MsWu2008 I cried the first few times I listened to this, but now I only cry a few times. - And I love listening to her sing A Whole New World!!

  • Damn i remember when my mova would play this allll the time when i was a lil girl ahhhhh the memories *Smiling* ;)

  • I love this song! She sang the hell out of this one.

  • 4 idiots have no taste in music...how can you dislike such a beautiful song

  • Such a beautiful song. Just remember back in the day or even now for you youngesters. Listen to the lyrics and make it your own. This just might some of you cry and that's ok too. Love ya fbf

  • So is this where the real stopped? I mean what is "Look At Me Now"? Seriously? No, Chris. No, young man, I will not look at you now or anytime soon.

  • just perfect love it

  • Regina was trained at Julliard. One of the reasons for her great talent. Unfortunately, when listening to her albums, you find that her handlers made huge mistakes in regard to song choice and effectively killed a great future. Her songs lacked the bite she so obviously wanted and was capable of. She should have been an Anita Baker or Toni Braxton. Instead, we use their names to discribe what could have been for her.

  • @stiffonme

OH I couldnt have described it better!

  • @stiffonme Acually the artist DOES have alot of control of what the lable does. Yes, the big boys want it all their way but if you stand by your guns and flat out say i won't do it that way, most of the time a good producer will want to work with you, after all others will.

  • DAMN WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS TYPE OF MUSIC!!!!

  • @retrolove87 i wonder the same thing this is music and it sounds so sweet

  • @retrolove87 , Do you think people today would accept music like this today ? I mean do you think theres a big fan base for it still ?

  • @Anointed012 i truly think this generation has been brainwashed with this ignorant music but i think its worth a try especially for ppl like us who know what good music is.

  • @Anointed012 Yes>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • I s/o this song to my class mates the class of 1992 Avondale High Class Avondale Estates, GA 30002...we were the best of mates...cant nobody touch our happiness...

  • Just try to hold back the tears.....I dare you!!

  • i know what u mean

Thanks for providing the lyrics as well. Great video! I am just jazzed to be able to hear this song again because I almost forgot about it!

  • @kenpalmer1965 Oops! I made a couple of typos here! I meant to say the "and" and I "fell" in love with this song when I first heard it. Sorry everyone! I get a bit carried away when I type sometimes!

  • Beautiful words for our ever changing world. (Marshall P. Lewis)

  • I had no ideal that Bebe Winans wrote this song. Now as I said on a previous posting,(Trained up ,will never depart)Thought it was secular. My GOD said, IN ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS.

  • @fanofall05 Actually, it was his brother Carvin Winans who wrote this song...

  • High School Love

  • Whoever dislikes the video must have been high.

  • This is a classic. I love this song.

  • Wow.

  • This song says everything I feel today. Many times I wish that I could go back in time to a happy place in my life, but alas we can never return to the past. Too bad.

  • You know I miss my OLD Friends DEARLY. Regardly as to what I've said or done, God is still good. Let MAKE IT LIKE IT WAS

  • Nice track, I miss true r&b music from the late 80's to the early 90's. I just adore those days.

  • Every day we used to slip away to talk

We would talk about the goodness of your heart

Now it seems a myth that never exists at all

And it leaves me feeling empty

    With this hollow call

  • You cant go wrong wit Regina Belle. She is a true vocalists in every sense of the word. She isjust as beautiful and talented as more popular vocalists of her era

  • She sings so beautifly. I wish she would come back out. Great lyrics.

  • i remember my mother would sing this song around the house all the time..

  • @Zeniquez: Some lyrics corrections:

Verse 1, line 3 - Now it seems a myth that never existed, oh

Verse 1, line 5 - With this hollow call

Verse 2, line 2 - Asking You to supply all my brother's needs

Bridge, line 3 - Just the thought of living without your love

  • love it

  • Man i was 8 years old when i heard this song ..so many singers was underrated i totally agree..Because Whitney was so whoppi doo around that time, Mikki Howard,Phyllis Hyman,Regina, that is who i remember .

  • Just truly a gift from God!

  • She is a great vocalist. A Whole New World with Peabo Bryson is a showcase of how great her talent really is as well.

  • I love this song.. Make it like it was.. The way it use to be.. !! *sigh*.. oh how I miss it..

  • this is the song that put Regina on the map as one of the best vocalist ever, but take the time to listen 2 "If I Could", another beautiful rendition of a song that was recorded earlier by Gladys Knight.

  • @gpy001 NO NO NO U R WRONG REGINA WAS FIMLY ENTRENCHED AS AN OUTSTANDING VOCALIST,SHE HAD ALREADY DONE A WHOLE NEW WORLD WITH PEABO BRYSON,AS WELL AS MANY OTHER OUTSTANDING TRACKS THIS WAS JUST ABOUT HER LAST CHARTING SONG

  • priceless, music

  • For the longest time I thought this was a song about a man and wife, but then as i have listened to the lyrics , it seems she is talking about arelationship with God. Especially the second verse when she's asking Him to supply all her brother's needs. I have always loved this song, now I love it even more.

  • @SensationalD When I originally had this record, I too thought it was a song about a male-female relationship. Then one day, many years later, I was looking at the liner notes, and saw that it was written by BeBe Winans. And when I listened again to the lyrics, I realised that it was about a relationship with our Heavenly Father. At that point in my life, it meant more to me than ever, and even today as I listen to this song, it is the cry of my heart: Father, make it like it was. Beautiful.

  • beautiful voice makes you melt and im a female no homo

  • This is a beautiful posting. Don't demean it by making stupid comments about the correct lyrics, or whether or not it is a gospel song. Be above that. Thanks again Zeniquez for posting this wonderful song.

  • Sounds like something that LGKids would say!LOL! This is what real music sounds and feels like and thanks for holding it down on here! I can't stand when people don't enjoy good music and yet all the stuff that sounds crappy, they give the best comments! Peace to you and all real music lovers all over this planet!

  • effie brookins 55 this song makes me think of my dear sweet husband. i would love to make it like it was, the way things use to be. i miss him terribly and i always will. it's so hard living without his love. regina this song helps me to go on.

  • Boy I miss the days when talented singers sang our songs. Music had so much more meaning than it does now. We have only a chosen few that shows what true love songs really sound like. Hats off to you once again Ms. Belle...

  • i agree with you bout that Dorothy

  • @tjrmom shut up

  • @dorothywashington back in the day songs had meanings that were about what a person was going or had been through. todays songs are about how much you can dance to them. Don't get me wrong, there are some artist who still possess the ability to touch the heart & mind.

  • Beautiful song!

  • Our songs were about love and bonding.

Singers today don't sing song like this anymore.

  • this really is a gospel song

  • no, its clearlynot

  • I didnt think so either. She said so on the Yolanda Adams morning show which was why I felt the need to revisit it and actually read and listen to the lyrics.

  • im not really sure why she said that. this is not a gospel song, maybe she made another version of it..a gospel one

  • it's her song, wouldn't she know who she was singing to?? I can't understand how you could say it's not. There's no rules for a gospel song, what makes you an authority?

  • have you had a personal conversation with her? how do YOU know that it is! you dont, so leave me the heck alone

  • It's okay for you to tell someone who heard HER say it that "it's clearly not a gospel song" but not okay for me to disagree with you? really?

  • coysraye3 - It is not "Heart All Cold" Its "Hollow Call"

  • tear

  • Thanks coysraye!

  • this song can make you sad.

  • beautiful song

  • i live this song remeber of someone

  • The best song ever.

  • Are the words in verse written correctly? The chorus seems right. Anyway, love Regina.

  • no...Everyday would use to slip away til dawn....Now it seems a myth that never existed at all and it leaves me feeling empty with this heart all cold.

Verse 2 ...Asking you to supply all my brothers needs.

Bridge....just the thought of living with out your love makes me ask....[the rest is correct]

  • no this isnt correct its

everyday we use to slip away to talk, we would talk about the goodness of your heart, now it seems i admit that never exist at all, and it leaves me feeling empty with this hollow chord

    2nd vers is

asking you to show light on my brothers needs... just the thought of living with the horror makes me ask that you make it like it was

  • I always felt sometime different about this song. Thanks much from Jamaica.

  • I definitely want her new gospel cd!!!!

  • Written by BeBe Winans.

  • Thank you for letting me know that. I never knew that after all these years....This song should have been getting played in gospel radio. But, it probably would not have gone far commercially since gospel music was not as popular and accepted in the mainstream back then.
