i think its kind of like henrys dream before he dies seeing what his life you be like if he lived,,that doesnt exactly explain everything but meh thats what i think.
henry makes up the story with all the people around him right before hes going to die... for example when the little boy says "mommy is that man gonna die?" henry is hearing that in real life and in his story. its a great movie with a great ending.

I haven't noticed the fact that the paintgs which appears in the final seconds with the name of Henry were Lila's paintings.
And this is a really interesting point of view

Its very similar to a story called an occurence at owl creek bridge, which later was a twilight zone episode, u shoud check it out.
