  • Wow... so THAT'S what heroin sounds like... lol

But, I Still love there guys :)

  • @ModalGroove if I'm making all that money playing guitar in Zeppelin, I'm getting hella strung put too! lol. I'd prolly not even make it to the gig, so hats off to Jimmy. that outta put it in perspective fer ya.

  • @ModalGroove ... That's what Jimmy Page on heroin sounds like, still better than Justin Beiber.

  • not their best performance, but still better that most bands today

  • the best

    Robert Plant

  • 4 guys doing their best in the moment. Jimmy was sloppy in the solo, but this is some hard stuff to get right, no matter what. Great feel from Bonham and Jones. They took their jobs very seriously. And the evidence is well documented that they both really were the most consistent players in the group. But they took their parts seriously in order to provide the foundation for Robert and Jimmy to explore, reach and screw up. All of it is good and most, great.

  • MAN I really wish they would have kept Jimmy away form the heroin! He still rocked though, which is crazy!

  • And meanwhile, Jimmy's playing his HEART AND SOUL out, under megawatts of lighting (in front of hundreds of thousands of people) and the little boys want to talk about his sweat....and again, say "HEROIN" and fondle themselves like monkeys.

  • I honestly think it's an amazing thing, all the momma's boys who like to write "HEROIN" and then fondle themselves with the thrill as if they know what they're talking about. In the meantime, all the serious zep fans listen carefully...

  • @mielazul I fully agree

  • lmao 0:20 BONZO!

  • @drnapls2 Obvious troll, though I will admit by now they were pretty bad shape as a band.

  • i love both knebworth versions.this 1 the mix sound very dry.nothing like the dvd wich sounds perfect.it times like this when u see how good or in this case GREAT a band is.page doesnt use the kind of overdrive/distortion that halen, iommi, rhoads, or even townsend used.i love those guys to but page does to many different things,it would get lost.the fingerpicking, violinbow, blues licks etc.....he has to have his sound just right, loud but clean.when he uses effects, quarter, trampled it for texture

  • Sorry folks, at this point Jimmy has checked out. He still has flashes of brilliance because he is Jimmy Page, but his playing has gotten way way too sloppy. Maybe the drugs, maybe the wrong kind of drugs

  • Holy shit, that's amazing. The first lead shows Jimmy Page's unparalleled ability to use stops, the second shows how fast he is without tapping.

    Unreal!!!

  • dat ending solo was mad wack compared 2 the 75 one

  • LOVE THIS...why is the quality substandard?, i have this on dvd and the quality is the dogs doo dahs!!

  • every other band just needs to shut up cause nothing can compare

  • the sound of those drums makes me happy .That is Bonzo's voice . As familiar to me as anyones voice

  • @Tecumseh1812

    amen to that

  • zep and floyd...the best..

  • FUCK THE 1 DISLIKE

  • been sick for a few days and this is great! check out some floyd also...great gilmore licks

  • for all others to be measured

  • "Do you know my name?"

  • lips like cherry of a drma queen

  • what a groove, 3:03, only one band could be this good, check out the official dvd for a remastered sound, not this crap quality

  • Bonzo is kickin ass at 3:30

  • @ARFF2690 No, Bonzo is kickin ass at 1968-1980

  • Like the studio version... LOVE this live version.... weird.....

  • robert plant has wonderful hair...not to mention his awesome singing! :D

  • I love this song sooo much.. I really worship these guys man

  • is it for the august 11th?

  • lol that guy at the beginning. THE ROVER

  • Lol all of you are wrong.. I loved 77-80 probbally his best years

  • Jimmmy looks in a bit of a state. Wasnt he quite an alcoholic at this time?

  • He was severe heroin addict, all of those toxins are coming out through that sweat

  • He was into herion.. Bonzo was the alcoholic

  • Soaked Jimmy rocks!!

  • hey cut jimmy a break hes been through a lot, besides hes one of the best players in the world and not credited at all for it.

  • jimmy page looks like a sweaty dogggg......lolz

  • yeah, and i really think that bonzo and jonesy were the most consistent members of the band, bonzo beeing my favorite (I'm a drummer)

  • incredible.....im 13 and this is mind blowingly awesome

  • Why'd you mention your age for. Just seems kind of irrelevant.

  • he's that guy from the to catch a pervert show

  • i think people get 'sloppy' confused with 'soul' and its usually the younger folk who use that label. They are so used to listening to souless robotic music and music videos. Music today insipid without style. if u think this is sloppy, watch keith richards play in the 70s....no that was sloppy

  • These guys rock no matter how you look at it..no one makes chaos sound like this...they are awesome..and robert plant is sooooo freekin sexy

  • lol at you lot, oh jimy isnt good here, hes sloppy, roberts lost it, just what. the.fuck, thats what im thinking who cares, they were legends by 1970 they didnt need to play spotlessly n 1979, plus you friggin sell outs would be the types to promote no drugs if you were in a rock band and no groupies etc, thats rock n roll ffs, drugs sex and rock n roll, these lot did those three better then anyone. bottomline is dont watch the vudeos if you dont like it.

  • i couldnt agree more with you! rockn roll isnt supposed to sound perfect. I think attitude is the most important to a real rock n roll band.

  • I totally agree with you, 1977 was really Led Zeppelin's last year, by 79 and 80 it was becoming too drawn out by Robert's lost voice, and Jimmy's sloppier playing

  • Dude.. fuck you 79-80 were great

  • Robert changes the lyrics around on this one, not too unusual though. Third & fourth verse are switched.

  • Oh Jimmy!

  • what is the croud screaming at 00:10?

  • Ganja????

  • Comment removed

  • haha dude. THIS is 79. He wasnt "good" this year. he was on heroine majorly. Watch the 73 vids. "Not bending, melodic quality" my ass.

  • people get butt hurt when they see their favorite guitarist get dissed... jimmy is one of my favorite guitarists but i can agree with what you're saying yet i still find him enjoyable to watch live. he has a lot of charisma in his playing

  • What a great fucking band!!!

  • One of my favorites

  • Pagey's solo on "Live at the Greek" blows this one out of the water.

  • robert is sexy as fuck!

  • This song is a drum-gasm. :]]

  • plant sings amazing at knebworth !

  • I think I saw this one As plant

coments you didnt come last week

we were all 18 ish and got our tickets through the post for aug 11th

and got a train from hampshire to london

    and to stevenage

    wow it was worth it

only lost me T shirt last yeay damit

  • Simon are you trying to sound English?

    :)

  • I am english //

I was just A bit merry at time of post

    HIC HIC

  • Aye Simon! Aye!

I too was 18 that Summer. Good thing I made it to Madison Square Garden in '77 since Bonham's untimely exit precluded what would have been the next US tour.

  • god bonzo just KILLS in this one. nice!

  • These guys are gods to the world of rock! Long live zeppelin!

  • Whats wrong with the mic right towards the end?

  • everything was just going wrong n this show, sound crew drunk as fuck, jimmy, givin his all, but stumped by how flat his guitar is, sound complaints, police, heckling crowd, you can tell by the encores, they were all like fuck it, turn up the volume, communication breakdown turned out awsome,

  • awesome!

  • No Ludwag11, the guy yells Rover! from Physical Graffitti, because Plant said he was gonna play something from that album. Listen again.

  • Wasnt this Bonhams last performance

    ??

  • No, Munich Germany in 1980 was Led Zeppelin's last performance with Bonzo I believe

  • Wrong,

    But Close

Berlin Germany was his last preformance,

Zeppelin played together again the day he died in September 1980

They were set to embark on their North America tour a few weeks before he died =)

  • yea i actually found an art website where you can buy a ticket from the 1980 show that was never performed because of his death. Also plant, after his tragic car crash, refused to play this from about 76 to 77/78 i'm not exactly sure but he decided to ignore the possibility of jinxing himself and play it again.

  • Yes i have seen the site a little while back,i believe it was in tampa stadium.

Its not that plant refused to play, play refused to preform,He Managed to do half of presence in a wheelchair. He Refers to Achilles last stand as "The Wheelchair song"

  • they did play this in 77, Robert didn't want to play "In My Time of Dying" though, but they did in 77

  • Robert sounds great on this version...Zeppelin is the most amazing, talented, gifted band period...this guys are insane...rock on bros...

  • Love this song! Thanks for uploading this live version. So glad to see more of Jonesy playing too.

LONG LIVE ZEP!! Come tour dudes!

  • This songs chord progression reminds me of What is and Should Never Be.

  • Hmmm...That's odd. It seems that right after someone yells, "Zoso!" another person says, "Get the fuck outa here!". Listen at 0:20-0:23. I'm tellin yah, I really hear that. "Zoso!!!" "Get the fuck outa here!"

  • "Let's go!!!" A kid yells. Lol

  • that sexy accent and that hair of Plants is such a turn on..He still has that great hair!!

  • what accent? i don't hear it mate.

  • It's about the music. Not wether or not the guys chose to exercise their right to alter their consciousness.

  • How many pussied assed bands are out there today? A fuckin' plethora. I'll take an addicted Zeppelin over ANY FUCKIN" NU METAL, EMO, INDIE band now...

  • Jimmy fucking page doesn't need any of us to tell him how good or bad he is ... he could fart better sounding then any of us, he is a monster guitar player. I will say that he looks riciculous in that five sizes to big, I'm a skinny herion addict, button down shirt. What the fuck is up with that. haha

  • kinda like jimmy meets kieth Richards licks wise here.

  • Jimmy Page was stoned out of his mind for this show..... still he's the best guitarist ever!

  • Again When Jimmy Page is on 45cc of mexican Black Tar Herion , He Fucking Kicks Ass.

  • I like the way Bonzo adjusts his seat at 2:45...and I like the move that Jonesy busts at 3:37...it's the little things, people.

  • gl8512 is right the version of this song that appears on the zeppelon DVD is fucking superb better than Earls Court in my opinion

  • hey cock head you spelled zeppelin wrong your going to hell now

  • I'm already there you faceless shithead.

  • doesnt that blow.

  • 1:50-1:53 Bonzo's greatest moment!!! Amazing.

  • @Chrisdrumz

even rank amateurs can play that lick.

  • Page's and everyone else's playing is just fine. The sound quality of this particular recording wasn't good. The audio source is the issue, not the playing. The whole 'direct-in' deal.

  • This is one of those songs that just sounds better live.

  • i just get the feeling robert plant lost his virginity at a VERY young age lol

  • Plant sings this song here better than on the album!

  • Damn I just listened to the blueberry hill bootleg in 1970 and then this, its like, what the hell happened?

  • Try Sick Again from 8/4/79 not this one which is 8/11/79. I have both bootlegs and Six Again 8/4/79 is near perfect.

  • thats one i haven't heard before. WTF? lol

  • ur on flipping crack man, zeppelin is the best ever

  • you honestly believe all that shit? and if that was a joke its not funny, jimmy loved bonzo, and the same between the whole band of Led Zeppelin

  • Led Zeppelins Professionalism is starting to crack a little here

  • not at all. just pages playing, because he is so heroined out. shut up!

  • No the whole band is unrehearsed, thats why they sound like this, everyone is sloppy. And dont tell me to shut up, cause I wont, I'll say what I damn please

  • youre wrong. They never didnt rehearse for a tour! Think! Jimmy said they never went on unrehearsed. So yes, shut up!

  • the herion did effect his playing but it dont matter cuz hes page

  • Ok, you along with many other people overrate jimmy, because he is just "God" huh.. Hes just an ordinary person, and if his playing is bad, than he should not be worshiped for what he did do. Don't overrate. He is not the almighty.

  • I love Page, but anyone who thinks his playing wasn't suffering from 75 on knows very little about music. The main culprit in his poor performance' was HEROIN. He was strung out. Watch ANY vid from 75 on and compare it to any show before and you'll see a stark contrast. I'd say the 73 tour was his last standing as a "guitar god". He could still write amazing things and his work in the studio was amazing, but his live playing was shitty.

  • What the hell are you talking about? When did I EVER say that page wasn't heroined up? And ME not know anything about music? Please, if you knew me you would have never said something like that. And as for 73. Of course he was at the top then. After that he was horrible, but still pretty taste playing.

Are you sure you didn't reply to the wrong person? Where you trying reply to Cliner97?

  • Dude,I was AGREEING with you about Page being strung out on H. I was replying to your comments with a similar comment to let you know that you are absolutely right.

  • Bonham is a god ! Look at him pull crazy stuff off like nothing

  • Very good, but the best version of this song is from earls court 25/5 1975.Look at this.Zep forever!

  • amazing

  • The sexiest man alive! The best band ever!

  • who Jones?

  • No, Robert. He's the sexiest man alive- even now at 59

  • i think you're not wrong ;)

  • i was there aswell . i was 17 and only about

half a mile back > zep still the best

  • This song is about teenage groupies and how they came into Led Zeppelin's hotel rooms and offered "favors".

  • man they are so high. haha.

  • at 00:20-00:21 you hear two guys shouting "THE ROVER!!" and "THE LEMON SONG!!!"

  • i was there - 14 years old

  • how loud was it

  • not as loud as concerts this day and age, it was open air in a natural bowl. i was about half a mile from the stage - i;ll never forget it coz it started my career as a profesional drummer.

  • No Rover intro on this version of "sick again"

also Jimmy is playing a Les Paul Gibson then the double neck gibson he used on this song

    in 1977 live shows

  • easy song to cover. love it. never ever tire of it. long live zeppelin.

  • awesome! om mighty zeppelin

  • that 79 nebow show was incredible especialy achillies

  • it's 11th version!!i think the 4th was better!!anyway i like!!!

  • It really doesn't get any better.
